In this most recent times, many of the users prefer to commute via e-hailing services. At the moment, in Malaysia, there are many e-hailing services such as Grab and Mula. Apart from these two famous e-hailing services, the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has reported that there are a total of 42 e-hailing services which has given the license to operate in Malaysia.
Currently, if you scroll through your Instagram posts or Facebook News Feed, most of the time without realising you might have come through a new e-hailing service called InDriver. Maybe after reading this article sooner, you might realise why we are writing an article about InDriver. Trust us, the features it offers will totally blow your mind away.
If you take a look at other e-hailing services, most of them are taking a certain percentage of commission from the drivers. With InDriver, it is totally opposite. According to InDriver, it does not take any commission from the drivers. This is something unusual for a company who provide e-hailing services.
History of InDriver
Back in 2012, a group of college students created a group called “Independent drivers, indrivers” in the social network “VKontakte”. The reason behind this creation was during the New Year holiday, the temperature in a city in Siberia dropped below -45 degree Celcius. During that moment, the local taxi drivers started to double the cost of trips due to the weather condition. In order to overcome overpaying the taxi drivers, the students created this group.
Within six months, 50,000 participants have joined the group. And that’s how a year later InDriver was founded. Passengers can set the amount of their fare and drivers can increase the amount accordingly. We will talk about this in detail soon.
How InDriver works for passengers?
Same as other e-hailing apps you have to register to use the InDriver service. You need to fill in your personal details such as first name, last name, email address and mobile number. For verification purpose, you will receive a six-digit pin code on your phone.
After that, as usual, you can select your current location and your destination. If other e-hailing apps, you have to click on the Book button isn’t it. However, this is where we say this app will totally blow your mind. For the first time ever, you can offer your fare. When you click on the offer fare button, a base price for your trip will be shown. You can either decide to set the base price or to decrease it accordingly.
Now, this is another interesting feature we have seen in the InDriver app where the InDriver app allows you to choose which offer to choose from the list of drivers. For example, if the average fare is RM22, the offer from the driver could be either RM22 or slightly higher than that. Since the app is transparent to the passenger, you can view their current rating and also the model of the car before accepting the offer. Next is you will be able to view the car plate number of the driver and also the current location of the driver. Do note that the app accepts cash only at the moment.
How does it work for drivers?
Are you in a plan to earn income while driving? Then you should try to be a driver with the InDriver app. Using a similar app, you can easily click on the switch to Driver mode by tapping on the button as shown in the image below.
After that, you need to register your self as InDriver driver. This wouldn’t take a longer time. Most of the procedures are similar to other e-hailing services. The reason you should join as a driver is because of a few of the amazing advantages. First of all, since the passenger pays you in cash, all the cash is yours. The company is not taking any commission from you. Besides that, it is very flexible for you to switch between driver and passenger. The InDriver app also gives you the freedom to choose your ride at any time.
In conclusion, we are sure these features which are provided by e-hailing service, InDriver will totally blow your mind. However, we are still not sure on how secure is the platform yet. At this moment, InDriver is available in 26 countries and 300 cities worldwide. There are already more than 35,000,000 users worldwide and it is one of the worlds top 10 e-hailing services. For Malaysians, this ride service is available in a few cities such as Penang, Seberang Perai, Kulim, Sungai Petani, Taiping, Alor Setar, Ipoh and Kubang Pasu.
For more information on the InDriver e-hailing service, visit the official website. The InDriver app is available in both iOS and Android which you can download it for free. Try it out now.

This accuracy rate is specifically for the Malaysian car number plates. The main reason many people prefer buying the iPhone rather than an Android smartphone is the security feature in it. Until today, Apple has produced the most secured iPhone. Even if you publish an app to the App Store, Apple has a security team who verifies the app thoroughly.
But, last week Wandera, mobile security company reported that 17 apps from the App Store are infected with malware. It is a clicker Trojan malware which regularly attempts to connect to a specific website. The purpose of this malware is to either earn money for appearing to drive traffic to a specific site or to drain the budget of a competitor.
According to Wandera, all these 17 apps in the App Store is developed by the same developer who is based in India. Upon issuing a report to Apple, Apple has immediately removed the apps from the App Store. Besides this, it was also reported that 42 Android apps from the Google Play Store have also been removed by Google security team.

We believe Netflix chooses Malaysia as the first country to launch this plan is because of the population. According to Netflix, 88% of Malaysian already owns a smartphone. A report from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) noted that 78% of Malaysian internet users are spending most of the time on streaming and downloading entertainment.

The drone is the next future for world technology. Tech giants such as Intel has developed drones for the fireworks display. This shows how much drone technology has improved worldwide. The next upcoming technology is the drone delivery service. Back in April, Australia is the first country to allow drone delivery service which was developed by Google Wing.
During that time, the United States was waiting for FAA approval. Now, Google has officially started its drone delivery service in the United States. Google Wing is the first company in the United States to start the delivery service. Next time if you want to order any foods or medicine, you can get it right away through the Google Wing drone delivery service.
How Google Wing drone delivery service?
According to Google Wing, the drone delivery was started on Friday in Christianburg which is a small town in Virginia. Google also says, the delivery process is not entirely done by the drone itself. That could really burn the drone itself. So what happens is, the beginning of the journey will be done by FedEx delivery service. The last 10km radius will be done by Google Wing delivery service.
The maximum weight the drone can carry for now is 1.3kg. It doesn’t make sense if the drone can carry 10kg goods. You can watch the video above how the drone drops the goods. Rather than landing the drone itself, the drone has a strong cable which is used to drop the goods at the delivery. If you have played drones before, you might know how hard is it to land a drone.
Some of you might be thinking, how does this drone operate? Well to answer your doubt, the drones are fully operated by the Google Wings pilot. That’s the reason, Google starts the drone delivery service in a very small town so that the Wing pilot can manage the drone delivery service.
In conclusion, as we said in the beginning, drone delivery service is the future of delivery method. Soon you can expect other tech giants such as Amazon or even Malaysia Lazada to start its own drone delivery services. For more information visit Google Wing website.
