The main reason many people prefer buying the iPhone rather than an Android smartphone is the security feature in it. Until today, Apple has produced the most secured iPhone. Even if you publish an app to the App Store, Apple has a security team who verifies the app thoroughly.
But, last week Wandera, mobile security company reported that 17 apps from the App Store are infected with malware. It is a clicker Trojan malware which regularly attempts to connect to a specific website. The purpose of this malware is to either earn money for appearing to drive traffic to a specific site or to drain the budget of a competitor.
According to Wandera, all these 17 apps in the App Store is developed by the same developer who is based in India. Upon issuing a report to Apple, Apple has immediately removed the apps from the App Store. Besides this, it was also reported that 42 Android apps from the Google Play Store have also been removed by Google security team.

Even though Apple has removed these apps from the App Store, some of you might have download these apps previously and the apps might be in your iPhone now as we speak.
