Even Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), urges its passengers to arrive four hours earlier, still, those passengers had to wait for long hours. Looking at the situation, TM helps KLIA by deploying Unifi Air as an alternative connection.
MAHB has already replaced the failure network equipment and now the network is in the process of stabilising. Despite that, TM wants to provide Unifi Air as the alternate connection. Even the system failure happens again, MAHB can use Unifi Air to continue its operation. At the moment, TM deploys the Unifi Air at the Main Terminal Building, Gate A, Gate B and at the Satellite Building.
A recap on Unifi Air

For now, you can pay RM79 per month for the Unifi Air plan with unlimited data. It users Huawei B618 router which you can use to connect up to 64 devices.
Google Photos is one of Google’s most popular app which many of us have it installed in our smartphones. Typically all Android smartphones come with all Google apps including Google Photos. Even nowadays, many iPhone users also are storing all their pictures into the Google Photos app. Thanks to Google, soon it will be rolling out an interesting feature for Google Photos app. Interestingly, Google is rolling this feature to both iPhone and Android devices.
The feature Google will be rolling out is pretty much classical feature. This feature has been here in many of our printers those days. It is called optical character recognition (OCR). What is OCR anyway? OCR is a feature where it reads a text from a photo. However, Google is taking a step forward where now you can use the Google OCR feature to read the text in photos and turn them in a text where you can search for from the Google Photos app.
Sooner, you can even copy and paste the text into your documents. This feature is something very good for students as most of the students can snap the photos of the presentation slide rather than writing it down on a notebook. For the elders, with this new feature, you don’t have to write down your WiFi password. You can snap a picture of it and you can store it in a document.
Do note that, this is not the first time Google is rolling out this feature. This feature has been present in Google Lens app itself says 9to5Google. Google Lens is an app which delivers multiple information based on the photo you capture. For example, if you take pictures of a museum, it is able to tell you the museum name from the photos. It can even tell you the operation hours, ticket pricing and also reviews from different users.
Most of the time, Google posted an article on its blog regarding a new feature launch. However, this round Google confirms this feature from Twitter. Google says this feature will be rolled out to Android users first. At the same time, it will be rolling out to iPhone users and to the Google Photos web as well.
You spotted it! Starting this month, we’re rolling out the ability to search your photos by the text in them.
Once you find the photo you’re looking for, click the Lens button to easily copy and paste text. Take that, impossible wifi passwords ?

Sony Xperia 1 Specs
On the front side, Sony Xperia 1 features a 6.4″ 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display. According to Sony Mobile page, Xperia 1 is the world’s first smartphone to have the 4K HRD OLED screen. At the top is an 8MP selfie camera which you can use it to take beautiful selfie shots.
It is clear that Sony always focusses on photography features. Which means the Sony Xperia camera need to have special features. For the camera wise, the Sony Xperia 1 features a triple-camera setup at the rear. The first camera is 12MP f/1.6 wide-angle camera. The two other cameras are the 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens and a 12MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle camera.
Other than that, Sony Xperia 1 also will be using BIONZ X for mobile image processing engine. This is the same technology is being used in the Sony Alpha SLR camera. The Sony Xperia 1 also has the world’s first Eye AF (Auto Focus) technology in a smartphone. With this, you can take photos which focusses on the eye movement.
Under the hood, Xperia 1 is powered by Qualcomm’ Snapdragon 855 processor. Furthermore, it comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Google initially releases Android back in 2008 without any naming for its operating system. In 2009, Android releases the first Android OS with the desserts name. It was called the Android Cupcake. That’s when the whole desserts naming starts for its operating system. Today it is the end of the Android era. The era we meant by not the end of Android OS. It is the end of Android desserts naming.
Android Q will be Android 10
Today Google is updating its font and text colour of the logo. This including the people’s favourite Android robot mascot too. The last Android P is called as Android Pie. Now, Google confirms in its blog saying that Google’s upcoming Android Q will be called Android 10. Personally, we feel this name is similar to Apple’s operating system iOS where Apple always gives a numbering for its OS. We will leave that to you.
According to Google, it took various feedbacks over the years from different countries. From the user’s feedback around the world, Google got to know that the OS naming convention is not completely understood by all the users in the world. For example, in certain countries, it is hard to distinguish between Android L and Android R. Especially Asian countries always has a hard time to distinguish between L and R when they speak. This is one of the reasons Google decides to stop namings for the Android 10 onwards.
Other than that, Google also says there are some Android users who are not familiar with the desserts naming conventions. For example, countries like marshmallows, we don’t really eat it as a dessert. When Google names it’s as a dessert, certain users get confused with it. In some other countries, those desserts are not popular although it is sweet and delicious.
Android 10: A new colour and a new font
The last time Google updates its logo and font was back in 2014. After 5 years, Google is updating its logo colour and its font. Below are the Android’s previous logo and the new logo side by side.
If you look at the above logo, the differences are a lot different. First of all, the font is different now. Rather than using a robotic font, Google uses a font which gives a cleaner look to the logo. Other than that, Google also replaces the green colour to black. Google also has a valid reason for replacing the font colour. According to Google, the previous green font is slightly hard to read for Android users with visual impairments.
Moreover, Google also updates the loveable Android mascot too. Comparing with the previous Android logo, Google has removed the body of the Android robot and uses just the head as its logo now. Besides that, Google also replaces the lightness of the green colour by using a darker green colour.
In conclusion, this is the beginning of a new era for Google’s Android. Google will be using this updated logo in the coming weeks with the final release of Android 10.
A few days ago, Realme unveils the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro for its users. Sooner after that, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth shares a tweet saying that it Realme is not done yet. Before this, when Realme unveils its 64MP quad-camera during the event, Realme says it will be launching three quad-camera smartphones will be before Deepavali.
From the tweet above, we know the 64MP quad-camera smartphone will be called as Realme XT. During the launch event a few days ago, Realme says the Realme XT will be a “complete expert” and will be unveiling before Deepavali. At this moment, Realme has not provided us with the exact launch date. However, we are sure Realme will be announcing the Realme XT before the end of September.
As we discussed previously, it is confirmed Realme will be using Samsung’s 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor. One of the features of this image sensor is, after capturing a photo in low-light situations it can make your photos brighter using its Tetracell technology. It also has a large 1/1.72″ sensor which could capture more lights.
For now, we still not sure on the specs of the Realme XT. But we can assume the specs should be almost similar to the newly launched Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. We are also hearing Redmi will be unveiling the world’s first 64MP quad-camera Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro next week. After that, Xiaomi is planning to unveil Mi MIX 4 which will be featuring Samsung’s 108MP Bright HMX image sensor.
A few weeks ago, Redmi teases us with a photo of a cat taken using a 64MP camera lens. During the same week, we predicted Redmi might be announcing a new Redmi Note edition. Looks like our guess is correct as Redmi is planning to unveil its Redmi Note 8 Pro in the coming weeks. Now, Redmi gives us a glimpse of the Redmi Note 8 Pro which features the 64MP quad-camera.
From the teaser image, we can see the Redmi Note 8 features a quad-camera. However, in the first glance, it looks like a triple-camera setup. The fourth camera which is the macro lens is placed right below the LED flash. Probably, the Redmi Note 8 also could be used to take 4cm range photos using the macro lens same as the Realme 5 Pro.
Other than that, below the third camera lens, there is an empty gap. This looks like the classical rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Which means, we can confirm the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will not have the current in-display fingerprint sensor. Which this leads us to confirm another point, the Redmi Note 8 won’t be using the AMOLED display. Instead of that, Redmi will be using LCD display. All of this information is still assumptions as the official specs are yet to be revealed.
We can provide you with further information once Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi reveals the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro on August 29 next week in China. Realme is also launching its first 64MP quad-camera smartphone on September next month. As Redmi launches the Redmi Note 8 next week, this makes Redmi Note 8 Pro be the world’s first smartphone to have 64MP quad-camera. Stay tuned for more updates from us.
Along with the Realme 5, Realme unveils Realme 5 Pro which is the premium smartphone in the Realme 5 series. Most of the features and specs are almost similar to the Realme 5. However, there are some additional changes comparing to the Realme 5. By looking at the tagline of Realme 5 Pro it says “Quad Camera Speedster”. Let’s further analyse it in the specs section.
Realme 5 Pro Specs
Talking about the display, the Realme 5 Pro has a smaller display than the Realme 5. It maintains the similar 6.3″ Full HD+ Dewdrop display as in the current Realme 3 Pro. However, the Realme 5 Pro offers a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio which almost covers the whole screen until the body. The display also supports Night mode for eye care. It has a 16MP f/2.0 front selfie camera which uses Sony IMX 471 sensor. This image sensor supports both AI HDR and AI Beauty.
The back of Realme 5 Pro is the same quad-camera setup which exists in the Realme 5. It has a Sony IMX586 48MP f/1.79 main camera with an 8MP f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle lens. With the ultra-wide-angle lens, you can take similar 119-degrees wider photos which exist in the Realme 5. Additionally, it has a Double Lens Distortion Correction Technology (DLDC) which helps to capture excellent portraits and scenery images. The other two cameras are the 2MP portrait lens and the same 2MP macro lens. You can also capture a cool low-light picture using the Super Nightscape mode.
For video-wise, the Realme 5 Pro supports 4K videos at 30fps and 720p at 960fps for slow-mo. However, the Realme 5 Pro does not come with the Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) which electronically stabilises shaky videos. That could be one of the downsides of the Realme 5 Pro.
Under the hood is the new 2.3GHz Snapdragon 712 processor which increases the performance to 10% higher than the previous Realme 3 Pro processor. On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro supports up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. If you wish to expand the current storage, you can do it via microSD card which supports up to 256GB.
The Realme 5 Pro is powered by 4,035mAh battery which supports Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charging. Comparing to the Realme 5, the Pro version has a smaller battery whereas the Realme 5 has a larger battery. However, it does not supports fast charging. Moreover, the Realme 5 Pro now supports charging via USB-C port.
Pricing and Availability
The Realme 5 Pro comes in two colours which are Crystal Green and Sparkling Blue. The Realme 5 Pro comes in three variants which are the 4GB RAM + 64GB of storage is for sale for ₹13,999 (RM816.94) whereas the 6GB RAM variant is going for ₹14,999 (RM875.30). The 8GB + 128GB model is going for ₹16,999(RM992).
In India, Realme will start to sell the Realme 5 Pro starting September 4 onwards. Most probably, after several months we can expect Realme Malaysia to announce Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro in Malaysia. Stay tuned for further updates from us.
A week ago, Realme posted a tweet with a photo which teases the launch of two Realme smartphones which are Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. Yesterday, Flipkart shares Realme official teaser page where you can get a glimpse of the Realme 5 series smartphones. Today, Realme has taken the stage to unveil the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro to its audience.
The first phone it launches is Realme 5. This device is said to be the affordable Realme 5 series smartphone. Despite being affordable, Realme 5 features a quad-camera setup and huge battery too. We will further analyse on all the specs of the Realme 5.
Realme 5 Specs
On the front of Realme 5 is the 6.5″ HD+ LCD display which has a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. It has an 89% screen-to-body ratio with a tiny notch at the top where the 13MP selfie camera is located. With the 13MP front selfie camera, you can take crispy portrait photos easily.
The back of the Realme 5 features a crystal design with a gradient holographic effect. Our first impression looking at the back of this phone is very similar to the Vivo S1 which was launched last month. It is really surprising to see an affordable smartphone to have a quad-camera. Most of the times only high-end smartphones come with a quad-camera however this time Realme is changing it.
The topmost is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens which able to shoot 119-degrees wide photos. The second is a 12MP f/1.8 main camera and the following is a 2MP portrait lens and the fourth is the new 2MP macro lens. Using the macro lens, you capture close-up photos within 4cm range. Other than that, with the 12MP main camera, you can record videos in 4K resolution at 30fps.
Under the hood, is Snapdragon 665 AIE which gives a performance increase of 20% compared to the previous MediaTek P60 processor which runs on the current Realme 3. Realme 3 comes with a 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If you wish to expand the storage, you can use microSD cards which supports up to 256GB.
This powerhouse device is being powered by a huge 5,000mAh battery which able to last up to 29.9 days of standby. Which means once you charge the phone if you left it in standby the battery life can last for almost one month. By playing games such as PUBG, the battery can last up to 8.5 hours. You can listen to music and watch YouTube videos for 30.8 and 19.1 hours respectively.
Pricing and Availability
Realme 5 will be launching in India first starting from August 27 next week. You can grab the Realme 5 in two different colours which are Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple. Realme 5 will be available in three different storage sizes. The base models come with a 3GB RAM + 32GB of internal storage for the price of ₹9,999 (RM 582.23). The 4GB RAM + 64GB of storage will cost you around ₹10,999 (RM640.46) and the highest variant is going for ₹11,999 (RM698.69).
Currently, we are still not sure whether Realme 5 will be available in Malaysia soon. But if they plan to launch it we can guarantee this powerhouse device is way cheaper compared to other affordable phones. Let us know your thoughts below.

UPDATE – The Penang Smart Parking app is now available from Google Play store too. The Penang state government will also be offering RM5 credit for the first 10,000 users who signup for the Penang Smart Parking app.
However, several users have reported they are not able to verify their mobile number. This happens when a person enters their mobile number and then when they enter the TAC code, the app is not responding. It seems it requires 8-digit code however the TAC which receives is 6-digit code only. We are now checking with the support team and will update soon.
People from Penang usually know how hard is it to get a parking spot, especially during the working hours. Sometimes we have to park our car at the roadside as temporary parking. This is totally a hassle for us. Thanks to our Penang Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow is working on making Penang be one of the first Smart city in Malaysia.
Back in May, the Penang government officials say Penang is now ready to be the gigabit city. This means sooner Penang can be declared as a Smart city. Now, Penang is taking its first step to becoming a Smart city by introducing Penang Smart Parking System (PSP) app. This app allows drivers around Penang to find parking and to pay for their parking. This whole process can be done with a few taps within your smartphone.
Next time, you don’t have to buy the municipal council parking coupon when you park your car. You can easily pay it via your smartphone. At the launch event, Penang Chief Minister, also announces that RM5 worth of free credits will be given to the first 10,000 users who sign up for this app. He also encourages the public to use eWallet technologies.
How does the PSP works?
First of all, some of you might be curious, how you can know the availability of a parking lot via your smartphone. This where the Internet of Things comes into the picture. Each of the parking lots around Penang will be installed with sensors. With these sensors, it should be able to detect whether the parking lot is taken.
This information will be sent to the cloud constantly in real-time. Then when you use the PSP app, you should be able to view the list of parking lots available in your current location. Other than that, there is also direction guidance inside the app where you can use it to direct your location to the parking lot. This is something really useful for everyone.
In case you need to reload the amount in your eWallet, the app accepts various payment methods such as online banking, Boost, 7-Eleven and WeChat Pay. We can expect the app might support more payment channels such as Grab Pay.
For now, the municipal council has already installed a total of 36,000 parking bays in Penang. 12,000 parking bays are under the supervision of Penang City Council (PCC) whereas, the remaining 24,000 parking bays are under the supervision of Seberang Perai Municipal Council.
At this moment, the app is only available in the App Store for iOS devices. However, the app is not yet available in the Google Play Store yet. We will update once the app is available for Android devices too.
For more information, you can either call the PSP helpline 03-8026 8128 or you can even visit the PSP official page. You can also contact the support team via Facebook page too.
