Last week, Huawei shows off Huawei nova 5T at the KL Fashion Week. A few days later, Huawei Malaysia launches its mid-range smartphone today. With this, we can welcome Huawei nova 5T into the mid-range smartphone market.
Huawei nova 5T specs
As always let’s check the front of the nova 5T first. The nova 5T features a Full HD+ 6.26″ LCD display with 2340 x 1080ย resolution. The Huawei nova 5T has a dewdrop display with a tiny punch hole at the top left where it houses the 32MP AI selfie camera. Most of the smartphones such as the Vivo S1 features the in-display fingerprint scanner but looking at the display of the nova 5T, there isn’t in-display fingerprint scanner. However, Huawei mounts the fingerprint scanner at the side of the nova 5T.
Back it features a quad-camera setup same as Realme 5 series smartphone. It consists of a 48MP f/1.8 main camera, a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor. For the first time, Huawei uses its AI for all the five cameras including the front selfie camera.
Powering the nova 5T is Huawei’s lightning-fast Kirin 980 processor which able to perform all the AI features in a split of seconds. The DUAL-NPU offers increased performance and greater efficiencies, making HUAWEI nova 5T responsive, fun and exciting to use. Huawei nova 5T comes with an 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For a mid-range smartphone, this seems like a good offer to us. However, Huawei is not including its microSD expandable storage for the nova 5T.
To keep your phone last all day long, the nova 5T comes with a 3,750mAh battery which supports Huawei 22.5W SuperCharge fast-charging technology. With this fast-charging technology, you can charge your phone battery from 0% to 50% within 30-minutes.
Pricing and Availability
Huawei Malaysia is officially pricing the nova 5T at RM1,599. The device is available in three different eye-dazzling colours which are Midsummer Purple, Crush Blue and Black.
You can start to pre-order the Huawei nova 5T starting today at Huawei Online Store. Huawei is also giving away free gifts worth of RM325 which is the Huawei mini speakers and Huawei SuperCharge car charger. You will be eligible to receive these freebies only when you pre-order the device between August 29 to September 5. Huawei will still offer the Huawei SuperCharge car charger for free even after you pre-order after the pre-order period.
You will be entitled to a 1-year extended warranty if you purchase the nova 5T by September 30. Huawei nova 5T will hit the stores nationwide starting September 7 onwards.
