WhatsApp brings digital payment to Brazil only

WhatsApp easily can be said the most used messaging platform in the recent times. Until today, WhatsApp has more than one billion active users. For countries like Brazil, there are millions of active users who uses WhatsApp daily. Today, Facebook is rolling out WhatsApp digital payment to Brazil only.

If you are in Brazil then you can start to send or receive money through WhatsApp. This announcement was made by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook page. Following after that, WhatsApp made an official announcement in its blog. According to Mark, this feature will be using Facebook Pay. Back in 2019, Facebook launches Facebook Pay where you can easily send or receive money from your friends. You can even buy items using the Facebook Pay.

Now by bringing the Facebook Pay to the WhatsApp, small businesses can start to receive payment easily within just a few clicks away. According to Facebook, it is planning to roll out this feature to all WhatsApp users worldwide. However, there are some regulations which they need to follow before rolling out in other countries. It looks like Brazil will be the first country to pilot this feature.

Apart from that, sending money will super easy because it will be similar to sending a message to your loved ones. So in the future, if you are planning to send money to your parents, you don’t have to login to your banking app and transfer. You can simply tap and then send money. For security wise, WhatsApp will be requiring you to enter either a six digit PIN or use your fingerprint to make a transaction.

In conclusion, this feature surely will be increasing the growth of small business owners. Well, this feature is not available in Malaysia at the moment. But thinking of the financial compliances which Facebook needs to follow might cause WhatsApp to take longer time to roll out this feature in Malaysia. Google is testing voice verification to confirm payments

Whenever it comes to futuristic new features, Google is always one step ahead. The latest news we have regarding Google is, it is testing a new feature where you can use your voice to confirm payments. Voice verification is something new which not even the Apple iOS device have.

This news was first reported by the Android Police. According to Android Police, Google indeed is going to roll out this voice verification feature soon. Google is calling it the Voice Match. According to the Google spokesperson, this all-new Voice Match feature is still in the testing phase. Which means only available for the Google Play purchases and also the restaurant’s order.

In order to enable this feature, you can tap on the Google app. Then tap on the More button and then tap on the Settings button. You should be able to view the Google Assistant tab. Click on it and tap on You and the tap on Payments. Do note that, you will only be able to view the “Confirm with Voice Match” if your smartphone supports this feature. Then you can easily toggle it on or off from here. Since it’s in the testing phase, there are chances for the Google app to crash.

In conclusion, Google Assistant is one of the best artificial intelligence technology. Besides that, Google Duplex can even speak using a normal human voice to make a reservation in a restaurant. So we will strongly say Google Assistant is the future of AI. As for now, Google did not reveal when it will be rolling out this feature to all smartphones. We can expect Google to share more details about Voice Match during its Google I/O event.

Leak: Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ design revealed

After the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series smartphone, Samsung is gearing up to develop its upcoming flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series. If everything goes as plan, then we probably might be seeing the Galaxy Note 20 series sometime around August or September. Recently, we have received some leak news regarding Samsung Galaxy Note 20+. The design of the upcoming Note series smartphone has been revealed.

First of all, thanks to our serial leakster @OnLeaks who have shared the rendered design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20+. There are a few things to note from the leaked design. Talking about the design of the Galaxy Note 20+, it will be having a similar Infinity-O display which presents in the current Galaxy Note 10 series smartphone. For the display wise, the Note 20+ could be featuring a 6.9″ Infinity-O display. That is slightly taller than the current Note 10+ smartphone. Overall, we can say the design is slightly similar to the current Galaxy Note 20+.

Galaxy Note 20+ to have a larger camera bump similar to S20 Ultra

The major changes which are easily noticeable in the Galaxy Note 20+ are the rear cameras. In comparison with the current Note 10+, the camera bump is bigger now. It looks like Samsung is designing the Note 20+ camera bump similar to the current Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. The camera bump is thicker too. From the rendered image below, we know that Samsung Note 20+ will be featuring an array of triple cameras. However, the camera specifications aren’t revealed yet, but it is rumoured that Samsung will be adding the 108MP as the main camera. The other cameras would be the periscope camera and also a depth sensor. Well, the questions is, are there any chances for Samsung to include the 100X Space Zoom feature in the Note 20+?

Samsung reorganizes the placement of the buttons and the S Pen

Samsung is also making changes to the placement of the buttons. Firstly, both the volume rocker button and the power button have been moved from the left side to the right side now. We are assuming maybe many people complain of having the buttons on the left side previously. Apart from that, now the S Pen stylus has been moved to the left side. From the leaked image, we can confirm that there will be the USB-C port and there isn’t the 3.5mm headphone jack.

According to Phone Arena, it is expected that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ to be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor. This processor then will be mated with a 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Since this is the “Plus” model, surely it will be equipped with 5G network support. Keeping the lights on will be a 4,500mAh battery which could come with 45W fast charging support.

In conclusion, these are the current information we have on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ smartphone. There could be some changes as we mentioned currently. All you can do is wait until we have clearer information to share with you guys.

OnePlus is developing AirDrop-like file transfer protocol

Nowadays file transfers has been one of the most important feature in a smartphone. For smartphones like Android devices, it uses Bluetooth file transfer protocol to transfer files between Android devices. Whereas for Apple devices, Apple uses its own file transfer protocol called AirDrop to transfer files between iOS devices.

Previously, Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi forms an alliance to develop their own file transfer protocol. They wanted to develop their own file-transfer protocol similar to Apple so that they can avoid using Bluetooth to transfer files. Many of might not know about the Apple AirDrop, because it is not something to brag about. But, Apple is the first smartphone maker to develop its own file transfer protocol.

Realme, Black Shark and Meizu also joins the alliance

The most recent update we have now is, OnePlus has also joined this alliances to develop the AirDrop like universal file transfer protocol. At the same time, other smartphone makers such as Realme, Black Shark and Meizu have also joined this alliance. If you notice the smartphone makers, all are from China. With these smartphone brands, sooner you can expect to transfer files between other Android devices using the upcoming file transfer protocol.

According to XDA Developers, after months of heavy development, a few Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo smartphones have already started to roll out this as a feature. It is reported that this universal file transfer protocol has a much better performance compared to Bluetooth file transfer protocol. Taking an example for Apple’s AirDrop, you just need to be surrounding with iOS devices, and then you should be able to view the list of iOS devices. And then you can simply tap on the device and then you can share your files.

Transfer files without pairing to the target smartphones

That’s the same way Android smartphones soon can use this universal file transfer protocol. You don’t have to pair your smartphone to your friend smartphone. iOS 13.5 allows you to unlock iPhone with a face mask on

Hackers expose 9M EasyJet customers details online

During this global pandemic COVID-19, hackers have been hunting for their preys. Especially, this has been the best time for scammers to scam people. The most recent hacking happened to a British airline, EasyJet.

According to Bloomberg, hackers have exposed 9 million EasyJet customers personal details online. Since this is a British airline, probably people in the Asia region might not have to worry about this hack. However, the people in the UK should be really worried about this hack. Because you could be one of the victims too. EasyJet has also confirmed this news in a statement.

EasyJet will contact the affected victims

In the statement EasyJet also confirms that it has already closed off all the unauthorized access. In the meantime, the airline company has already engage with leading forensic expert to investigate on this issue. Part of the customer details are their names and also their credit card details. However, the airline company have reported that 2,208 credit card details have been accessed.

EasyJet has started to contact each of the affected victims. If you haven’t received any calls from EasyJet, which means your details were not exposed. In its statement, the airline company have told that it should be contacting its 9 million customers latest by 26th May 2020. As for now, none of the customer’s information has been misused.

According to EasyJet CEO, Johan Lundgren, he has advised its customers to be extra cautious if they receive any emails claiming to be from EasyJet or EasyJet Holidays. Especially as we said during this pandemic COVID-19, hackers will be trying to scam people. Since now, hackers have already access 9 million victim details, there are chances for hackers to send fake emails. The EasyJet CEO also have apologized for what have happened in the statement.

In conclusion, we have to take extra measures to be careful. If you are one of the victim then our advice to you all would be to immediately change your email accounts passwords. It is also advisable to change your passwords every 90 days.

iPhone 12 official details and specs are leaked online

The most expected smartphone from Apple, which is the iPhone 12 is planned to be released Q4 of 2020. However, this year due to global pandemic COVID-19, we can expect the launch to be delayed for a few months. But as always, we are receiving a lot of leak news on the upcoming iPhone 12 series. However, this time, we have more clarity on the iPhone 12 series.

This information is confirmed by Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). Before this, we know that Apple will be unveiling three new iPhones. But as per DSCC report published today shows that Apple is planning to launch 4 new models of iPhone 12. Can you guess what’s the name of the fourth model?

iPhone 12 Pro Max: A larger screen from Samsung Display

For the iPhone 12 Pro Max wise, previously we know that Apple will be unveiling a larger screen iPhone. The latest news we have is the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be featuring a 6.68-inch flexible OLED display. This display will be supplied by Samsung Display. It will have a screen resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels.

For the camera wise, as we predicted it will have an array of three cameras. From the report, it looks like iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a 64MP main camera. The other details for the rest of the cameras do not reveal yet. Besides that, as shown in the EverythingApplePro video, the iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with the LiDAR scanner. At this moment, only the 2020 iPad Pro uses the LiDAR scanner. The LiDAR scanner is mainly used for augmented reality purpose. Over at the front, it comes with the 12MP front-facing camera.

Under the hood, the iPhone 12 Pro Max runs with the new Apple A14 Bionic chip. It also rumoured that it will be equipped with a 6GB of RAM. You can also expect the iPhone 12 series to use the Sub 6GHz, mmWave 5G technology. For the internal storage, the report shows that the iPhone 12 Pro comes in three storage options which are 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

iPhone 12 Pro: An iPhone with 120Hz display

Talking about the iPhone 12 Pro, it features a 6.1-inch OLED display which is being supplied by Samsung Display too. It will have a screen resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels. Our previous rumour shows that Apple indeed will be supporting 120Hz display. However, it is reported that Apple will not be supporting its LTPO technology.

Similar to the iPhone 12 Pro Max, it will be using the latest Apple A14 Bionic chip. For the storage wise, you can expect the iPhone 12 Pro also to come with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options. This mode of the iPhone 12 Pro also will have a triple camera setup with the LiDAR scanner. The only difference between the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max is the panel size. The rest are similar to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12: The smallest iPhone

Obviously, iPhone 12 is the base model in the iPhone 12 series smartphone. The iPhone 12 will be replacing the current iPhone 11. According to DSCC, the iPhone 12 will be featuring a 5.4-inch OLED display. Again Samsung Display will be supplying this OLED display. It is rumoured that it will have a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels.

At the camera department, you can expect it to have a dual camera setup similar to the current iPhone 11. However, it will be having the 64MP image sensor as the main camera. Over the front, Apple still continues with the 12MP front selfie camera.

Powering the iPhone 12 is the latest Apple’s A14 Bionic chip. Instead of having a 6GB RAM, the iPhone 12 will have 4GB of RAM only. The iPhone 12 will come in only two storage options which are 128GB and 256GB only. Nevertheless, iPhone 12 is still one of the most powerful smartphones you can purchase for a cheaper price.

iPhone 12 Max: The unexpected iPhone

The unexpected iPhone 12 is going to be the iPhone 12 Max. According to Phone Arena, there are chances of the iPhone 12 Max to replace the iPhone 11. But looking at the specs, we feel that iPhone 12 Max has slightly better specs than the iPhone 12. For that reason, we are saying iPhone 12 is the replacement for the iPhone 11. It will be featuring a 6.1-inch OLED display which is rumoured to be supplied by BOE and LG Display. The iPhone 12 Max comes with the screen resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels. This is similar to the iPhone 12 pro screen resolution.

For the camera wise, it will have an array of two cameras similar to the iPhone 12. Both the back cameras and front cameras will have a 64MP main camera and 12MP front selfie camera respectively.

Under the hood, Apple still continues the same chipset, RAM and storage options. The main difference between the iPhone 12 is the screen resolution and the panel supplier. Rest is still similar to the iPhone 12. At the same, time when we compared with the iPhone 12 Pro, we can say both the iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro comes with similar panel size and screen resolution.

iPhone 12 series smartphone price

For the pricing wise, Apple is planning to keep the price of the iPhone 12 at $649. Comparing it to the current iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 is slightly cheaper than expected. The iPhone 12 Max price will be starting from $749. From the table below, we can say that both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max is the affordable iPhone 12 series smartphones.

When it comes to high-end iPhones, surely you can expect the price to be much expensive as we expect. The iPhone 12 Pro price will be starting from $999. Whereas for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, Apple might be deciding to increase the price to $1099. That’s $100 increased compared to the iPhone 12 Pro.

In conclusion, the iPhone 12 series is planned to be released around September 2020. However, due to the global pandemic COVID-19, Apple might be delaying the launch of the iPhone 12 series smartphone up until October 2020. According to DSCC, the panel production for the iPhone 12 series will be starting at the end of July 2020. Usually, these panels productions should begin on June. Apple Store in the United States will be reopening soon

Since the global pandemic COVID-19, many countries have initiated a lockdown. This means people were not allowed to go out of their houses. Companies like Apple had to close their stores worldwide to reduce the spread of COVID-19. It has been more than a month since Apple closes its stores worldwide. As we mentioned previously, Apple says that it will be reopening a few of its stores in the United States.

Well, today, Apple’s SVP of Retail and People, Deirdre O’Brien have updated us on the latest information regarding the Apple Stores worldwide. This news has been posted on the Apple website. According to him, Apple is really cautious when it comes to health. That’s the reason during this pandemic COVID-19, Apple has source more than 30 million masks and 10 million custom‑built face shields for doctors and nurses. On top of that, Apple has also partnered with Google to develop a solution for the COVID-19.

Apple is the first to close its stores in China during COVID-19

He also added that, Apple was one of the first stores in China to apply social distancing in its store so that it can reduce the spread of the virus. And now, Apple will be slowly reopening its stores worldwide by applying the rules which it applied in China. Until now, Apple has already opened almost 100 of its stores worldwide. As for now, Apple has a total of 512 Apple Stores worldwide. Since now it is following the Standard of Operating Procedure (SOP) we soon may see more Apple Stores being opened worldwide.

As for the people in the United States, you can start to go to the Apple Stores in the coming weeks. Currently, Apple has planned to open at least 25 Apple Stores in the United States. Whereas globally, Apple is planning to open 12 of its stores in Canada and 10 in Italy. Since in China and South Korea, the COVID-19 cases have been solved, Apple has finally opened its stores in these countries too.

Apple feels that it need to be responsible for the health of its visitors. Due to that, soon once more stores have been opened you can start to see a lot of changes in the Apple Stores. Facebook acquires GIPHY for $400M

Nowadays, we used to express our comments by using GIF. We feel that it is more fun to use it. If you notice either in Facebook-owned WhatsApp app or in the Facebook app itself, you have the option to add GIF for your comments. Even in the Messenger also you can add the GIF using the GIPHY. GIPHY is one of the most popular GIF sharing websites and now Facebook is acquiring it for a whopping $400 million (RM1.7B).

This news was first reported by Axios on their website. It seems Facebook is planning to acquire the world’s famous GIF-making website and integrate it into the Facebook-owned Instagram app. We can assure you also that if Facebook acquires GIPHY then, even WhatsApp and the Facebook app also GIPHY will be integrated to it.

As for now, WhatsApp is using the GIF library from Tenor. For Messenger wise, you can select the GIPHY plugin for now to use it. According to VP of product for Instagram, Vishal Shah says that there wouldn’t be any changes on the website of GIPHY. You can still access it and make your own GIF or share GIFs with your friends. The only changes in Instagram would be, soon you can send GIF in Instagram Stories and Instagram Direct Messages too.

According to Facebook, one of the main reason for it to integrating the GIPHY API to Instagram mainly is because GIPHY has at least 25% of its traffic sources directly from Instagram itself. The remaining 25% is from other Facebook apps. And the rest 50% are from different sources such as Twitter or Reddit. Many people are using GIF nowadays. Even when we need to post an Instagram Stories, we mostly use a GIF to give more emotions in the Instagram Stories.

Although, now the government has loosen the restriction to go out from your house, it is still advisable to go out only if necessary. We know many of you have not installed the RFID tag yet on your vehicle. Especially during the Movement Control Order, the TNG fitment centres are closed nationwide.

Well now, you don’t have to go to the TNG fitment centre. You can easily purchase the TNG RFID self-fitment from both Lazada and Shopee. Back in February, Touch ‘n Go announces that it is planning to sell the TNG RFID self-fitment kit. With the TNG RFID self-fitment kit, you can fit the TNG RFID tag yourself by following the guideline provided.

How to install TNG RFID tag?

The TNG RFID self-fitment kit is being sold for RM35 each in Lazada and Shopee. As shown in the image below, you should either stick it on your vehicles left windscreen or left headlamp. The main reason for sticking it on the left side is because it will be easier for the RFID sensor to detect the RFID tag on your vehicle. Do note that if you install the TNG RFID tag on the tint, then the RFID sensor wouldn’t be able to detect the RFID tag. You are not allowed to install it also near to the metal content too.

Furthermore, TNG also says that it’s planning to expand the usage of the RFID tag for other services as well. For example, you can use your RFID to pour petrol in the future. The first oil company in Malaysia who announces to collaborate with Touch ‘n Go is Shell. With the RFID tag, you refuel petrol for your pay it using your TNG e-Wallet app. You don’t have to use your phone or go to the payment counter. We can expect this service to roll out in Malaysia in Q4 of 2020.
