Here’s how you can fake traffic on Google Maps

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

Back in my college days, I always use the Google Maps app to know the traffic to my college. Everytime, when I look at the traffic on Google Maps, I always wonder how does Google Maps know there is traffic in the specific area. When time flies, I started to know that the surrounding mobile phones which decide the traffic in the area.

Thanks to an artist named Simon Weckert, he has shown a way on how to create your own fake traffic on Google Maps. All you need is hundreds of smartphones with you. Here’s how he managed to fake the traffic on Google Maps.

Simon easily fools Google Maps traffic by just using 99 smartphones. First of all, he opens Google Maps on these 99 phones and then he put all these phones into a wagon cart. Then he started walking into different streets in Berlin with his wagon cart. I am sure at first you might think is he is crazy, walking along the street with 99 phones.

Each of the smartphones has its own GPS sensor built-in. Theoretically, Google Maps can only predict the traffic by the movement of the smartphone. So when he filled the wagon cart with 99 phones, Google was assuming there is heavy congestion on the street, because all the phones are moving in a very slow pace. Simon even walkthrough through the street where Google Berlin office is located. But still, it still detected congestion in that street. Here’s the video of Simon walking along the street of Berlin with 99 phones in the wagon cart.

In conclusion, this is how you can fake traffic on Google Maps. Maybe you should try the same too in Malaysia and share the result to us.

iPhone 11 Pro has increased Apple’s revenue for 2019. If you notice many celebrities are using Apple iPhone because of the security features in it. This has opened an opportunity for other premium companies such as the Caviars to design the premium iPhone 11 Pro.

Recently, Tesla has unveiled the first-ever truck called Tesla Cybertruck. Its latest invention has shaken the whole automobile industry. Now, Caviars has designed the iPhone 11 Pro which was inspired by the designed of the Cybertruck. I know that’s not totally possible to own it but the first look itself is crazily designed.

First of all, the body of the iPhone 11 Pro is made up of titanium. The Cybertruck is made of strong stainless steel. The titanium body doesn’t only give the solid feel but it also gives the premium look which you can get it when you see the Tesla Cybertruck. If you notice the current iPhone 11 Pro it has rounded corner. But the Caviars iPhone 11 Pro has sharp edges exactly like Tesla’s Cybertruck.

The backside features a similar triple-camera setup with the “CAVIAR” engrave. This is where you can notice the sharp lines which you can see in the Cybertruck. At the front, there is titanium screen protection. This is similar to the Cybertruck glass design. Besides that, with the foldable titanium protection, you can even use it as a stand too.

Cyberphone is the latest Caviar’s iPhone 11 Pro name. The Cyberphone is just fancy. You can grab the Cyberphone for $15,860 (RM69,964) by requesting it online.

For more information on the Cyberphone, you can visit the Caviars official website.

Malaysia Airlines launches the facial recognition system

After AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines is the next airline company to launch its facial recognition system. According to Malaysia Airlines, the reason for launching this system is to make the boarding process quicker.

If you notice the current boarding process is really tiring. Especially in Malaysia, you got to walk from one terminal to another end terminal. But with Malaysia Airlines’s facial recognition system you don’t have to display your documents at every checkpoint before boarding the flight. Malaysia Airlines is naming it as Single-Token program.

For time being, Malaysia Airlines will be piloting this project for two Malaysia Airlines flights. There are flights from Kuala Lumpur to Narita International Airport and from Kuala Lumpur to Kansai International Airport. According to Malaysia Airlines, the Single-Token program will be starting from 29th January onwards.

In order to sign up for this pilot program, all you need to do is walk-in to either the H5 or H8 counter. You can also sign up via the self-service kiosk at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Within a few minutes, you should be able to use the facial recognition system while boarding the flight.

While you are walking in to board the flight, you have to pass the automated gate. While walking through this gate, the system will verify your face. According to Malaysia Airlines, this system will help to increase efficiency during the peak seasons. The solution which the Malaysia Airlines uses is the SITA’s Smart Path solution.

Overall, the AirAsia FACES system is way better than the Single-Token program. It is because the AirAsia FACES allows you to register it using the smartphone app itself. That is convenient. Probably, Malaysia Airlines could be introducing its own app after its pilot program. For more information, you can visit Malaysia Airlines Single-Token program website.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is the name of next foldable device

Reading Time: 3 minutes read

Samsung has officially entered into the flip phone business back in 2019. When it introduces, the Galaxy Fold, fans went crazy. Again, this year Samsung is ready to unveil its next flip phone. Back in October 2019, when we wrote about Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 we thought that could be Samsung be naming its next foldable smartphone. But now, Samsung names its next foldable smartphone as Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

Now, we even have the rendered images of the Galaxy Z Flip. Thanks to our serial leaksters both Evan Blass and Roland Quandt for revealing the design and also the specs of the Galaxy Z Flip. The design of the Galaxy Z Flip is almost similar to the latest Motorola RAZR which comes with a clamshell design.

The internal display features a 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED Panel. This is the first smartphone in the world to use Ultra-Thin Glass. With this thinnest glass, the Galaxy Z Flip has a screen resolution of 2636 x 1080 pixels. As you can see it below, it also comes with a punch-hole display which houses the selfie camera. Apart from having the premium build quality, the Galaxy Z Flip is more durable than the plastic film in the current Galaxy Fold.

On the other side, the outside display features a 1.06″ AMOLED screen. This display comes with the always-on feature where you can view notifications directly from the cover without flip opening the Galaxy Z Flip.

No headphone jack and expandable storage

At the camera department, the Galaxy Z Flip features a dual-camera setup. It comes with two 12MP cameras which are the main camera and the ultra-wide-angle camera. According to Roland, you can also record 4K videos at 60fps. The front comes with the 10MP selfie camera. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855+ processor. This includes an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. However, Samsung is not including its usual expandable storage via microSD card.

From the leak images also we got to know that the Samsung is still insisting to use the same folding mechanism as the Galaxy Fold. When you flip the Galaxy Z Flip, you should be able to notice the metal bar which written “Samsung”. If you have been thinking about the gap which you can view on the Galaxy Fold, then wollaa. Good news! It looks like Samsung has already fixed it. On the side, the Galaxy Z Flip comes with a fingerprint scanner. The same side also you can find the volume rocker button. However, Samsung has already removed the 3.5mm headphone jack.

In conclusion, you can expect Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy S20 on the 11th of February 2020. Well, for Malaysians, Samsung Malaysia might be revealing both these devices sooner than expected. Stay tuned for more updates from us.
