As per today’s news report, the death toll in China has increased to 361. The Coronavirus has been the worst virus outbreak compared to SARS. If you notice many of the goods are coming from China. We have been hearing that many people have stopped purchasing items from Shopee and Lazada due to the Wuhan Coronavirus.

However, the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has claimed that until today there isn’t any evidence that the novel Coronavirus can be spread via the goods from China. Until today there aren’t any cases in the United States. The CDC has also reported that the risk of spreading the novel Coronavirus from the packages are very low.

If you are still worried, you need to know that the Coronavirus can only be spread to others via respiratory droplets only. So don’t worry about purchasing items from Lazada or Shopee which ships from China. Besides that, e-commerce platform Lazada has even taken its precaution steps on its packages. All the logistic employees from Lazada will undergo daily temperature check before even touching the packages.

Apart from that, Shopee has also shared its precaution steps on its Twitter account. Shopee confirms that it will be monitoring the health of each of its employees. At the same time, it is also purifying its transit warehouse in China daily. Even after the package reaches the destination country, the airlines disinfect the products and then it will be inspected by the customs.
