Windows Defender, the name itself states that it only supports Windows platform. Soon Microsoft will be defending Mac OS too with the name of Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). Previously, it was known as Windows Defender ATP. According to Microsoft, Mac OS will be the first platform Microsoft is providing its software.
The main reason behind the name update is to expand the coverage of their own product. If you have been using the Windows Defender software before, then you would not face any difficulty in using the Microsoft Defender on your Mac. All the provided feature in Mac is the same as in Windows 10.
With the Microsoft Defender ATP enterprise, it brings all the features to the Mac OS such as network protection, threat isolation, and website reputation. The new Microsoft Defender will be available on Mac devices which are running on Sierra, High Sierra, and Mojave. As part of the trial program, Microsoft allows only the existing ATP customers to try the new Microsoft Defender.

Streamyx users are you frustrated for not having the Unifi coverage in your residential area? Telekom Malaysia is already working on its new pre-5G technology which will help its users to have a Unifi-like solution. The only difference is this technology is through the LTE network. TM claims this is the nation’s first technology and now it is in commercial phase. In this beginning stage, the service is only available for users in Setiawalk Puchong.
According to the current acting executive VP Moharmustaqeem Mohammed, almost 100 households have already had the pre-5G network. TM main aim is to mitigate the problem of no fibre coverage in certain areas. TM believes with this technology which uses Time Division Complex (TDD), it can offer speed up to 500Mbps. This means, if you are staying in a no fibre coverage area then you might get the speed up to 30Mbps and with fibre coverage your internet speed would reach up to 500Mbps.

Apart from that, the young VP also states that TM will be rolling out this technology to more users later this year. However, it all depends on the percentage of user demands in the particular area.

As Apple sent out the invitation email for yesterdays event, Apple adds the tagline “It’s show time”. Yesterday, Apple announced the most awaited streaming service, that’s the Apple TV+. It seems Apple is currently focusing on producing original contents as Netflix does. Apple is also looking forward to producing exclusive original TV shows.

During the event yesterday, Apple brought some of the most famous artists to the stage to talk about the shows they are working on. One of them is Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Resse Witherspoon, and Oprah Winfrey. All of the other artists such as J.J. Abrams, M. Night Shyamalan, came to the stage to update on the shows they are working on too. According to Steven Spielberg, he gave an update on the show he is directing now which will be shown exclusively on the new Apple TV+.

Apart from that, Apple is also updating the Apple TV app. The new Apple TV has a new interface where all the contents are on one page. Apple also is introducing the new Apple TV channels where you can watch videos on demands for TV shows, movies, sports, news and network TV from cable and satellite providers.
Apple announces that its users can subscribe to the TV channels as ala carte. This means nothings comes in a package. As for now, the Apple TV channels has HBO, CBS, MTV Hits and SHOWTIME. Apple also told that the new Apple TV will suggest movies and shows from Amazon Prime and Hulu. At this moment, Apple has not include Netflix as part of the streaming service.
The new Apple TV will be supporting all the iOS and Mac devices and for the first time, it’s coming to the Smart TVs such as Samsung, LG, and Sony. The new Apple TV+ will be available in May and it will come to the smart TV’s later this year.

The Apple Arcade supports across all your iOS and Mac devices. Additionally, Apple is adding its support for the Apple TV too. You don’t have to go to the bank to apply for your credit card. You can do it directly on your phone. Once it is approved Apple will send the brand new titanium card to your house.
With the new Apple Card tracking your transactions will be super easy. You can use your iPhone Wallet app to view the transaction amount, the name of the merchant and additionally the location of the payment. Lately, Facebook has an issue where more than hundreds of millions of user passwords are stored in plain text. This causes millions of people to change their Facebook account password. Yesterday, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commision (MCMC) have released its press statement regarding this hot issue.
Although, Facebook stated that none of the passwords were exposed externally MCMC is taking precaution steps by releasing its media statement regarding this issue. Facebook also confirms that none of its employees misuse the user’s password. As for now, Facebook promises to fix the issue and will inform the affected users to change their Facebook or Instagram account password.
According to the statement by MCMC, they have requested all Facebook and Instagram users to change their passwords once they receive the security notification from Facebook only. Apart from that, MCMC urges those users to change their passwords at the official website only. This is to prevent the users becomes the victims of phishing.
