Have you used the CamScanner app before? It is one of the most popular PDF scanner apps for Android smartphones. More than 100 million users have downloaded this app from the Google Play Store. However, recently researchers from Kaspersky Lab have found a trojan module inside the CamScanner app.
The researchers have found a hidden Trojan Dropper module inside the rogue app. Trojan Dropper is a virus which can easily allow remote attackers to secretly download and install malicious program on your Android smartphone without your knowledge.
As the researchers dig deeper into the CamScanner source codes, the Trojan Dropper module is not inside the code itself. Instead, the module is inside a new 3rd party advertising library. The creators of the CamScanner app introduces this advertising library recently only.
Upon noticing this suspicious behaviour, the researchers have reported it to Google. Google has removed the free version of this app immediately. However, Google did not remove the paid version from the Google Play Store. Despite that, we really recommend our readers to uninstall this app immediately.
In case you are still using the CamScanner app, you could be victim too. The owner of the trojan module can access to your device via intrusive advertising. They also can steal money from your account by automatical charging paid subscriptions without your concern.
In a nutshell, as a user, we all should think twice and thrice before installing an app on your device. There are many malware checker apps available in the Google Play Store which you can download and run it for free. Try to run a thorough scan weekly. If you notice any irregular behaviour, immediately report it to Google.
Malaysians have just started to warm up before going cashless completely. Beginning of this month, Prasarana’s Rapid Penang has launched its Pas Mutiara card for all its busses and ferries services. Which means, people can stop bringing cash when they travel by bus or ferry. Touch ‘n Go is also ready to go cashless now by introducing its new campaign called “Pay You Pay Me”.
This campaign starts from beginning of September until the end of September. By participating in this campaign, Touch ‘n Go will be paying you 10% bonus when your friends pay you via the TNG eWallet app. There aren’t any difficult steps to participate in this campaign. All you need to do to receive money is to use the “Transfer” feature to receive a 10% bonus from your friends and family.
But before using the “Transfer” feature, you might need to verify your identity. First of all, you need to take a photo of your Identification Card (ID/Passport). Second, you have to take a photo of yourself and fill in all the required information. Once that’s done, you can start to transfer or receive money from your friends and family.
At this moment, the campaign is only limited to the first 200,000 transfers only. As a sender, you need to transfer a minimum amount of RM1 to your friends TNG eWallet account for them to be eligible to receive the 10% bonus from Touch ‘n Go. Other than that, as a receiver, you can receive the 10% bonus only for the first 3 transfers from your friends and family.
RM5 maximum bonus Touch ‘n Go pays
According to the Touch ‘n Go FAQ page, you can only receive a maximum bonus of RM5 throughout this campaign. Which means when your friend sends you RM30 to your TNG eWallet you will receive 10% of the amount which is RM3. And then if you receive another RM20 from your other friend, you will receive your final bonus of RM2. This is because TNG is only giving a maximum bonus of RM5. Each of the bonus will be credited to your eWallet within 3 days only after the transaction.
Do note that, this 10% bonus amount is not available for cash out. You can use it to pay for your tolls, QR code payment, bills payment and transferring to another TNG eWallet user.

Finally, Huawei is ready to announce its next flagship device, which is the Huawei Mate 30. Yesterday, Huawei shares a tweet regarding the official announcement of Huawei Mate 30 series. From the tweet below, Huawei will be announcing Huawei Mate 30 on September 19 at Munich. You can go through this blog to learn Huawei mate 30 pro specifications online.
From the invitation above, there is a few things we can conclude. First of all, Huawei says “We’re going full circle in Munich on 19.09.2019”. From this tagline, there is a possibility Huawei Mate 30 could have rounded area for the quad-camera setup. The previous Mate 20 has a triple-camera setup. Despite having a triple-camera setup, the design is almost similar to the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 series smartphone. From the rumoured picture below, the LED flash has been moved to the top left corner.
Back in May, the US government has banned the Chinese tech company from doing business with the American companies. Even though, the US government has recently extended the 90-days reprieve, Google has told it will not provide Google apps and services for the upcoming Huawei Mate 30.
This could be the first flagship device to launch without the licensed Android OS. Other than using the open-source Android OS, Huawei could possibly release HarmonyOS as an alternative to the current Android OS.

In a nutshell, we have to wait until September 19 for Huawei to announce its plan for the Huawei Mate 30. We are very excited to see what Huawei is going to reveal during the event day. At the same time, we are expecting Huawei Malaysia also to launch the Huawei Mate 30 in Malaysia within this month. Stay tuned for more updates on Huawei Mate 30.
Two months ago, Apple issues a recall on the 15″ MacBook Pro. The reason is Apple suspects the battery in it could overheat and poses a fire safety risk. When Apple recalls the 15″ MacBook Pro, it says the affected units are between September 2015 and February 2017. Two months after the notice, two Australian airlines companies have issued a ban on all MacBooks from checked luggage.
The first Australia airline which bans its passengers from carrying MacBook for checked baggage is Virgin Australia. Until further notice from the airline company itself, passengers have to bring their MacBook in their carry-on luggage.
On the other hand, Qantas has also ban its passengers to put MacBooks into their checked baggage. Virgin and Qantas are one of the famous airline companies in Australia. Similarly, Jetstar also does not permit MacBooks in the checked luggage. Additionally, Qantas and Jetstar do not allow their passengers to use MacBook throughout their flight journey.
According to an airline spokesman, he says the safety of their passengers and crew members is their highest priority. Due to that, they are requesting all its guests to carry their Apple MacBooks as carry-on luggage as a safety precaution. Another statement from Qantas and Jetstar says:
All Apple MacBook Pros must be carried in cabin baggage and switched off for flight following a recall notice issued by Apple
In a nutshell, this is not the first time airline companies are banning specific electronic devices. A few years ago, Galaxy Note 7 was banned in major airlines due to the lithium battery which can cause a fire. If you are planning to travel via Australia airlines, you might want to stop bringing your MacBook along with you.
After the release of Huawei P30 series smartphone, Huawei soon will be launching Huawei Mate 30 series smartphone in September. At this moment, Huawei Technologies is still under the Entity List. Which means they could not continue doing business with US companies.
In order for them to continue doing business with the American companies, either the US government has to remove Huawei from the Entity List or the US government has to provide a temporary license for Huawei. Three months ago, the US government provides a 90-days temporary license for the Chinese tech companies so that they can continue to do their business with the US tech companies.
After the 90-days temporary license ends, the US government has decided to extend the temporary license for another 90-days. With this Huawei can continue to launch Huawei Mate 30 series smartphone on September.

A Google spokesman has provided Google’s update to Reuters. According to the Google spokesperson, the temporary license does not provide additional supports for Huawei’s Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro. This means if you are planning to purchase Huawei Mate 30 or Huawei Mate 30 Pro, you might not be able to use any of the Google apps.
In conclusion, the Huawei Mate 30 series smartphone will be the first flagship device to be without Google apps and services. However, the latest Huawei nova 5T which launches earlier this month is preloaded with Google apps and services. One of the possible reason for the nova 5T to preloaded with Google apps and services is because the device registration is made earlier before the US government bans Huawei. Do you think Huawei can survive without Google? Let us know in the comment section below.

The front comes with a smaller 6.3″ Full HD+ LCD display which still retains the same screen resolution of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. However, the selfie camera sensor has been reduced to 13MP. The display wise still it has a dew-drop similar to the Note 8 Pro.
At the back, Redmi Note 8 comes with a quad-camera setup. Despite using a quad-camera, Redmi Note 8 has a 48MP f/1.8 main camera. The other remaining cameras are still the same as the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Moreover, the position of the camera has been moved to the left side same as the Huawei P30 smartphones.
Powering the Redmi Note 8 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. With this processor, Redmi Note 8 comes in three variants. Without Steve Jobs, there wouldn’t have been a touch screen phone or huge screen tablet which almost works like a PC. Thanks to the legend, we are living the future of technology. Steve Jobs we all know always wears a turtleneck outfit and blue jeans. However, this Steve Jobs doppelganger is totally different. He doesn’t even wear a slipper and he was barefoot in the photo.
Some say even Steve Jobs also is barefoot very often when he brainstorms. This is one of the theories which can prove that’s indeed is Steve Jobs. Therefore, Steve Jobs biological father is also a Syrian immigrant from Homs. Probably, Steve Jobs wants to live in a quiet life rather than living as a public figure.
Steve Jobs is the man of simplicity. He likes to live a simple life. We are thinking Steve Jobs could be fake his death and live a very simple life in Egypt where his parents are from. He also believes a lot in spirituality. He could have found spirituality while living in Egypt for 8 years.
Do you think Steve Jobs is still alive in Egypt? Personally, we feel this may be could be true since most of the theories match Steve Jobs characteristics. The reason is being the CEO of the world’s most valuable company, you can fake your own death. Share us your thoughts on this conspiracy theory.
