Most likely, Oppo Malaysia could launch Oppo Reno 2 in Malaysia in September.

Oppo Reno 2 Specs

Reno2 Exterior

Since this is a flagship device, the specs are higher compared to other mid-range smartphones. First of all, on the front, it has a 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. With the AMOLED display, Oppo Reno 2 has an in-display fingerprint scanner. I also have a 93.1% of a screen-to-body ratio where the phone looks almost bezeless. Similarly to the current Oppo Reno, it has a 16MP selfie camera which swivels out.

Both front and back are made up of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 which protects the glasses from cracking. The rear comes with four cameras which are the 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP mono lens. Unlike the current smartphones in the market, Oppo Reno 2 does not has a macro lens.

Under the hood is running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G processor. With this chipset, the device is mated with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. You can even increase the external storage via microSD card for up to 256GB.

The Oppo Reno 2 is powered by a huge 4,00mAh battery. It also supports Oppo’s VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging via USB-C. With its fast-charging technology, you can charge the battery to 51% within 30 minutes of charge. You can continuously play games for 8 hours and watch videos for 13 hours with the combination of this processor and battery. It consumes very little power only.

A different model of Oppo Reno 2 in Malaysia

Currently, we are sure the device is Oppo Reno 2. However, we are not sure whether the device could be a similar model to the Oppo Reno 2. If you notice in the teaser image, the fourth lens is aligned vertically as in number 4. Whereas in the latest Oppo Reno 2 which was launched in India has all the four cameras vertically aligned.

In conclusion, Oppo Reno 2 could be launching in Malaysia within another few weeks. It seems, three smartphones have been approved in Indonesia. Usually, once it has been approved in Indonesia, the device could be launching in Malaysia sooner than we expect.
