According to Astro, at most, it will take one minute to switch to internet streaming. It all depends on how speed is your home Wi-Fi connection. This specific symbol causes iPhone Wi-Fi unusable

It looks like this specific symbol can cause your iPhone Wi-Fi to be totally unusable. Recently, a reverse engineer expert named Carl Schou has discovered that if you use the percentage (%) symbol to name your Wi-Fi Access Point, it can make your iPhone be unusable.

For example, if you named your Wi-Fi as “%scoobydoo%”, this will crash your iPhone Wi-Fi settings. Not only that, but it can also disable Wi-Fi on all iOS devices as well. As for now, Carl Schou founds out that this is a bug that Apple needed to fix it. According to his latest tweet, he confirms that he had to manually modify the iPhone backup network.plist file in order to restore the Wi-Fi settings.

Besides Wi-Fi, even the AirDrop feature also becomes unusable. The reason is that the % symbol creates a bug in the iOS networking stack. This means any feature which uses the networking stack will get affected as well. Apart from that, 9to5 Mac also suggested that the percentage symbol is mostly used in the C programming to format a string variable. Then this variable causes some haywire in the internal library which causes the networking stack to crash.

In conclusion, the percentage (%) is quite dangerous as well to all iOS devices. If you happen to see any Wi-Fi SSID named with a percentage symbol, then don’t ever connect to the Wi-Fi network to avoid this issue. At the moment of writing this article, Apple has not commented regarding this issue. We will try to let you know once we have further updates from Apple.

It has just been a few days since we got a new update from Clash of Clans. And now the team has added new Hero Pets.

Clash of Clans just disclosed its new updates of Townhall 14, in this update, your Heroes will now enter battle with a trusty companion by their side, providing them with special powers to aid them in combat. Hero Pets are a brand new kind of unit in Clash of Clans. When you upgrade your Village to Town Hall 14, you’ll be able to unlock a brand new building: the Pet House. The Pet House is where you can manage your Hero Pets, upgrade them, and assign them to your Heroes. You can assign one Pet to any Hero! 

When you upgrade your Pet House, you will also gain access to a new Hero Pet at each level. Each Hero Pet has its own unique ability that will aid the Hero it’s assigned to. Each Hero can take one of any of the available Hero Pets into battle, depending on the strategy you’re using. Assigning different Hero Pets to different Heroes will allow you to create various flexible strategies around the needs of your army composition! Want to give your Barbarian King some extra ranged damage? Then bring in Electro Owl as his Hero Pet. Or perhaps you want to bring your Queen Walk to the next level, then give her Unicorn for additional healing!

Finally, Hero Pets can be upgraded using Magic Items. Just like your Heroes, they can be upgraded using Book of Heroes to complete an upgrade in process, or a Hammer of Heroes to instantly give your Hero Pet a level. There will be 4 kinds of Pets launching this time, there are L.A.S.S.I ; Electro Owl ; Mighty Yak ; and Unicorn!

L.A.S.S.I: High Jumper

This adorably vicious pup will attack nearby targets and will even jump over Walls to bite the mailman’s leg…and in its eye, everything looks like the mailman’s leg.

Electro Owl: High Voltage

Mysterious in appearance, this superconductive bird of prey silently glides alongside your Hero, automatically giving that Hero additional points in coolness. Who wouldn’t want a fine-feathered friend with glowing eyes perched on their shoulder? In combat, the Electro Owl shoots a ranged attack that bounces once to a nearby target.

Mighty Yak: Wall Buster

While this messy-haired monstrosity may seem less than menacing, Mighty Yak’s skull and horns are definitely not to be trifled with. Tougher than mountains, Mighty Yak uses its horns to batter a path for its Hero companion by dealing extra damage to Walls.

Unicorn: Personal Healer

This pulchritudinous pointy-headed prancing pony doesn’t just act as a beacon at night for lost travellers with its glowing horn. Heroes who bask in their regenerative radiance will recover damage over time as their own personal healer!

All four Heroes can have a pet assigned to them; however, only one pet can be assigned to each hero at a time. You can mix and match as you see fit, which unlocks tons of different attack strategies — although I’m sure there will be meta strategies that maximized the efficiency of Hero and Pet pairings. Still, the addition of Hero Pets is a wonderful new feature for Town Hall 14, so go play now!

After Petronas having its own app to pay for fuel using the Setel app, now Caltex also will be a similar app to it. It is called CaltexGo. Using the CaltexGo app, users can pay for petrol using their smartphone. Especially during this pandemic period, this is something really useful for everyone.

At the moment of writing this article, this app is not available in Malaysia yet. But, it looks like soon Caltex will be rolling out this app in Malaysia for both iOS and Android devices. Currently, the only way to pump petrol for our vehicle is to either walk into the counter at the petrol station or use the credit card at the pump terminal. But, by using this app, it will be super convenient to pump petrol for vehicles.

In Malaysia itself there are already 456 Caltex petrol stations where this app will be supported. The CaltexGo is simple to use because all you need to do is drive to any Caltex petrol stations in Peninsular Malaysia and select the pump number. Do make sure that you need to make sure the car is in stationary mode before using the app to pay for petrol. Once the petrol is fueled completely, you can pay and then receive a digital receipt instead of the physical ones.

As for now, in Malaysia, there are 59 petrol stations that support the CaltexGo feature. Do note that, if you are a motorcyclist, then you won’t be able to use this app to pour petrol. Strategy mobile game Clash of Clans has just revealed their first major update for 2021 – and the release of Town Hall level 14! This comes right after the recent launch of the second-ever Hammer Jam event. You can watch this exclusive reveal both in-game and below here too.

The reveal shows Town Hall 14 in a jungle-themed setting, carrying ancient writing of Clash wisdom on its crenellations. The new Town Hall will come with new levels for Defenses, Resources, Heroes, Troops and Spells, and – believe it or not – the ability for the Town Hall itself to fight back. When destroyed, Town Hall 14 will drop the newly introduced Poison Bomb, which deals damage and slows down enemy attacks and their movement.

Upgrading to the new Town Hall will unlock at least 25x Wall pieces, 1x Air Bomb, 1x Seeking Air Mine, 1x Skeleton Trap, 1x Bomb, and 1x Giant Bomb. Other secret items will also be announced along with the launch of the Town Hall 14 patch update. Town Hall 14 will have 8900 hit points, and it will take 20 days and cost 16 million gold to upgrade. Apart from the upgrades, some balance changes will be made with this update.

However, this update isn’t just about the new Town Hall. The team behind Clash of Clans has confirmed it to be massive and quite possibly the most significant content release for Clash ever! Take note on this new fake Maybank site that steals your banking info

Nowadays, scammers have started to reuse the old phishing method once again to scam people. Recently, Maybank confirms that there is a fake Maybank site which is used by scammers to steal your banking information.

A few days ago, Maybank shares a tweet on its official Twitter handle saying that scammers are indeed using their website to scam people. Using this website, the scammer will be able to view your login credentials and use them against you. How many of you are Maybank users? If yes, then this is really important to you.

According to Maybank, recently the scammers are sending these fake Maybank2u website links through SMS, email or WhatsApp. That’s the reason most of their victims are aged between 45 to 65 years old. Whenever, these agedly people saw these type of messages as shown below in the screenshot, they immediately click on it.

How to know you are looking at a fake site?

If you take a look closely at the image above on the right side is the fake Maybank2u website. There are a few things you should do in order to know whether the site is a phishing site or not. First of all, look at the site link. Maybank2u site looks like this as shown below. And the fake site above looks weirder than the original site.

Apart from that, the login text field also is different. In the original site, Maybank will require you to enter your username first before clicking the login button. However, in the fake site, it will ask for your unnecessary information such as phone number and IC number. When you see such different you know it 100% fake.

In their Twitter account, Maybank says that they will never ever send any link to your SMS, email or WhatsApp. Well, in case you are curious to know whether your account is really at high risk, then you should enter the Maybank2u URL manually. Or the best way is to simply log in using via the Maybank2u app which is available for both Android and iOS devices.

In conclusion, if you really accidentally revealed your banking information to the scammers via the Maybank2u fake site, then immediately contact Maybank customer service at 03-58914744 for more information on what to do next.
