Now, these two companies announced that they will collaborate to develop the dual currency smart card called Combi Card. Touch ‘n Go and EZ-Link has planned to launch the Combi Card on the fourth quarter of 2019. That should be around September to December.

According to the statement from both companies, this card can be used in both countries Malaysia and Singapore. It is a completely secure electronic wallet which allows the user to pay for their public transportation trips. Users who lives in Johor Bharu and travels daily to Singapore don’t have to switch cards at all.

Apart from that, since Touch ‘n Go introduces its own e-wallet, users can use it at shopping malls and participating retail outlets. The same goes for Singapore too. There are more than 23 million active Touch ‘n Go smart cards in Malaysia where as, EZ-Link has 30 million active smart cards in Singapore.

In conclusion, sooner users can use a single smart card in both countries without any extra charges.
