Edit And Unsend Your Messages With iOS 16 Beta

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

Apple has launched iOS 16 beta 4 and it contains a few major upgrades to new Messages app features. For the first time, iOS 16 adds the option to edit and unsend iMessages. But don’t celebrate it yet because it also comes with a few limitations.

Source: The Verge

This new feature allows you to only change a message five times. Furthermore, each edit is tracked and accessible to both the sender and recipient of the iMessage. This means that the person you’re messaging can see any changes you’ve made. Moreover, you can view the edit history by tapping on the “Edited” text that appears below an edited message, and all of the edits will appear above the most recent one. But, when you reach the limit of five edits, the “edit” option will be removed from the long-press menu.

Source: The Verge

On top of that, iOS 16 beta 4 also shortens the time it takes to delete an iMessage. In the previous iOS 16, you had 15 minutes to unsend a message. That time range has been drastically lowered to two minutes with this new release. However, you still have 15 minutes to edit a message. So, don’t send messages you won’t be able to take back unless you got time to unsend it!

There might be more interesting features to wait for in the upcoming release of iOS 16.

Instagram Is Rolling Back Some Of Its Features But Only Temporarily

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

In the past few days, people on social media have expressed their frustration over the idea of Instagram making some changes to become more and more like its biggest competitor, TikTok. The meme that asked the company to ‘Make Instagram Instagram Again’ which has gone viral and reposted by reality TV stars, Kim Kardashian and her sister Kylie Jenner is surely enough to get even more people talking about it and eventually captured the company’s attention.

Source: digital camera world

Following a week of rising criticism, Instagram recently announced that they would roll back some recent changes made to the app. According to the Verge, Instagram will lower the number of recommended posts in the app and a test version of the app that opens to full-screen photos and videos will be taken down over the next one to two weeks.

Instagram chief, Adam Mosseri in an interview with Casey Newton’s platformer newsletter stated that the company will take a step back to figure out how to move forward by taking users’ criticism into consideration. But users must bear in mind that these changes will not be permanent as Instagram surely make a comeback with probably, a new layout.

Mosseri added that adding video-based features on Instagram is not entirely based on false assumptions but instead backed up by Instagram’s own internal data. People nowadays prefer to watch short videos but they probably don’t favour the feature on the Instagram app. Starting from the e-commerce features to reels from either random accounts or posts from friends and families, there’s a lot going on in the app and people wouldn’t know where to look.

“For the new feed designs, people are frustrated and the usage data isn’t great,” Mosseri said. “So there I think that we need to take a big step back, regroup, and figure out how we want to move forward,” he added.

Klik Divorce Changes The Divorce Landscape In Malaysia

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

Have you ever come across a digital divorce platform before? Sounds intriguing right?

Klik Divorce, which was launched in early July, is the country’s first digital divorce platform. It was designed with the primary goal of making it easier for people who are seeking legal avenues for the dissolution of marriage. On top of that, the platform will offer great inclusivity, especially to middle-income families or individuals who cannot afford a legal representative to resolve their marital disputes.

It was developed by lawyers Dato Fion Wong and Dato Chris Chin who are also the creators of Askaila, Malaysia’s first A.I. legal assistant, which debuted last year. Both of them strongly advocate for the adoption of technology in Malaysia’s legal industry.

How Klik Divorce Works

Klik Divorce allows users to build divorce terms such as spouse maintenance, child custody, maintenance, visiting rights, and the division of marital assets. Moreover, divorce documents will be instantly generated for printing and signing with a single click. If the divorcing couple accepts the terms, the process would take only around 5 minutes. The law firm can then assess the documents and prepare them for filing in Court the next working day.

Furthermore, those who face difficulties or require assistance to facilitate settlement agreements can seek the assistance of a lawyer, either online or in person.

What Klik Divorce Will Offer To Its Users

Klik Divorce will offer two key benefits namely time and cost-efficient that will greatly assist the couple throughout the agonising divorce proceedings

Dato Fion stated that “many people are unable to afford the legal fees for divorce, especially with today’s increasing costs of living. Additionally, it can take anywhere between 6-12 months for terms to be discussed back and forth before the divorce is filed in court.”

“Adopting legal technology to execute simple manual tasks can save a lot of time and reduce costs which make legal fees affordable to more people. This also enables lawyers to dedicate more time and effort to develop the law” he added.

Klik Divorce is particularly useful in uncontested divorce proceedings. It not only speeds things up and smooths out the procedure, but also leads to quicker settlements, freeing up the judiciary’s workload and court time. As Malaysia’s first legal online service, it also creates a foundation and paves the path for more digitalized services in the future.

Despite the positive feedback received from the users, there are lawyers who continually denied the adoption of this platform. It appears that this innovative legal tech will be able to redesign the divorce landscape in Malaysia and at the same time support the Malaysian government’s goal of adapting technology extensively across many industries.

If you are interested to know more about the platform, you can browse through Klik Divorce’s official website.
