Leica revealed the Q3 43 mirrorless camera, with an enhanced 43mm lens. The new APO-Summicron 43mm f/2 replaces the old version and improves the general image quality to be more natural. This lens is notably larger than the 28mm fixed lens included in last yearโs Q3 model.
However, the previous Q3 retained the fundamental elements of the design in Leica. The camera retains the capability of a 60 MP full-frame sensor and phase-detection AF. It also has the same ISO setting ranging from 50 to 100000, suitable for different environments of light. Also, the 5.76 million-dot OLED viewfinder and the tiltable three-inch touchscreen are retained, as well.
Leica Q3 43 Camera Presents Elegant New Design
The new Q3 43 comes with a grey-tone leather finish bringing a difference in comparison to the black one. This adds elegance to the camera whilst at the same time retaining its water and dust-resistant features. Leica offers the camera with be IP52 rating of durability for photographers who work in harsh conditions.
The many new elements on the Cosina Voigtlander VM 43mm f/2 lens are the highlight of this model. Leica guarantees distortion-free performance and outstanding resolution across the entire zoom range. The lens is equipped with a macro mode that allows for shots to be taken from a distance of 26.5 cm.
Leica boned up the lens utilizing 11 pieces in eight groups and highlighted the four aspherical pieces. This arrangement ensures high contrast and sharp images, both in good and bad light conditions. The lens has a wide f/2 aperture allowance that would make a lovely portrait photograph.
The Leica Q3 43 is equipped with a price that is as high as its quality, at RM34,990. This comes at a very high price. However, what the company is promising is the best photographic experience for the professional as well as serious photographer. It can be bought via Leica Malaysiaโs outlet or any other authorized dealer around the country.
