[Update] – Realme has shared us a glimpse of tomorrow’s camera innovation event. Take look at the photos taken with the 64MP quad-camera.

Are you ready to witness the world’s first smartphone camera technology? Realme will be announcing the world’s first 64MP quad-camera smartphone next week in New Delhi. Back in May, the CEO of Realme shared a picture which was taken using the 64MP quad-camera. Now, Realme is ready to unveil its newest smartphone camera technology on the 8th of August.

One of the features a user sees before purchasing a smartphone will be the camera technology. Nowadays, most of the smartphones have a 48MP camera sensor. Even smartphones with a selfie camera have started to have a 32MP sensor. This is quite common now in the smartphone industry. Now, Realme is taking a leap forward to launch its first 64MP quad-camera smartphone next week. Realme has shared a tweet on its official Twitter account with the tagline “Leap to Quad Camera”.

At this moment, we do not have any information yet neither the model name nor the specifications. The camera technology Realme will be using is from Samsung. They will be using Samsung’s 64MP GW1 sensor. This is the highest mobile image sensor ever been produced by Samsung.

From the media invite, the rest of the three cameras could be the ultra-wide-angle camera, a telephoto lens and a depth sensor. Other than Realme, Xiaomi also recently teases us with a picture of a cat snapped using its new 64MP Redmi smartphone. We are expecting Xiaomi could be announcing its smartphone too in another few months.

Keep on following our page for more information on the quad-camera smartphone. We will share any updates regarding this new technology in the near time.
