During the beginning of October 2019, Oppo Malaysia teases us that it is launching a new smartphone in Malaysia. From the teaser image, we know that is going to be Oppo Reno 2 series because of the vertical quad-camera alignment. Yesterday, Oppo Malaysia has revealed the official launch event date of the Oppo Reno 2 series. The event will happen on 15th October in Kuala Lumpur.
By looking at the Oppo Reno 2 teaser image, the Oppo Reno 2 series comes in one variant which has an 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Oppo Reno 2 is part of Oppo’s flagship device in the market. We already know Oppo Reno 2 features a quad-camera system. This camera can allow you to zoom up to 20X similar to the current Oppo Reno smartphone.
Oppo launches Oppo Reno 2 in India first before launching it to the global market. Oppo has a strong market in India where you can most of the television shows are being sponsored by Oppo. Even the most recent Indian television programme BiggBoss Season 3 Tamil, Oppo was one of the main sponsors.
To recap on the specs, Oppo Reno 2 features a large 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display. It has a 16MP front selfie pop-up camera which the current Oppo Reno has. At the back, it has a quad-camera system which has the 48MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP mono lens for portrait shots.
