Today, Celcom launches its 5G live cluster trial event in Petaling Jaya. During the event, Celcom demonstrates the performance of the 5G network by using Oppo smartphone. For the demonstration purpose, Celcom uses Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition which supports 5G.

Both Celcom and Oppo Malaysia are joining hands together to conduct the live trial in Petaling Jaya. During the launch event, the Oppo Reno 5G model is able to reach 1.2Gbps of download speed and 55.4Mbps of upload speed on Ookla’s speed test. According to Oppo Malaysia CEO, Wiliam Fang wishes Celcom the very best in introducing the 5G network in Malaysia.

At this moment, the Oppo Reno 5G is only available in Switzerland and Australia. Oppo says it will be launching the Oppo Reno 5G to other markets soon. Malaysians might have to wait for a longer time as Celcom is still working on to upgrade its network to support 5G capability.

In conclusion, other than Oppo, Samsung also has launched its Galaxy S10 with 5G capability. It is really incredible to see how Oppo is progressing in launching its own 5G device.
