This update comes with upgraded specifications and functionality after the launch of the first pair in 2021.

The second generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses comes fast. They have integrated audio and an ultra-wide new 12MP camera. It is powered by Meta AI, a leading power assistant that is enhancing this glass more powerfully. Currently, it is available in beta mode for people in the US and Canada, significantly enhancing functionality.

On top of that, Meta AI empowers individuals to interact with the glasses through voice instructions. Saying “Hey Meta” will return answers and recommendations based on what one is looking at. This is an added convenience layer, much like real-time translation of foreign text.

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

A recently leaked event invite hints that the Apple iPhone 16 series will launch on 10 September 2024. As shared by @MajinBuOfficial on X, the invitation explicitly reveals an Apple logo in a copper color. The tagline says, “Ready. Set. Capture,” which seems to point towards a much greater focus on imaging capabilities for the upcoming iPhone 16.

Now, while this information may seem quite exciting, it should not be forgotten that the source remains anonymous, and there is always the question of whether the invite posted is authentic or not.

The bronze color used in the invite is similar to the rumored new colorway for the Pro Max model. This adds some fuel to the fire regarding the Pro Max possibly coming out with a new hero color this year. On top of that, rumors point toward Apple maintaining its four-model makeup for this year’s iPhone 16 series. Recently surfaced dummy units of the vanilla and Pro Max variants also reveal a new camera layout for the former and confirm the bronze color for the latter.

Following a Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman, Apple is reportedly releasing its next-generation AirPods during the same September event as the iPhone 16 series. There is speculation that the company is going to launch its third-generation TWS earbuds in two variants: standard and Pro. Well, this was just a leak, so it is always good to be skeptical about such rumors until Apple confirms at least a portion of the rumors itself.

New Apple Podcasts Experience: New Tools and Global Reach

Apple Podcasts has done some heavy-duty upgrading to the web version. A far more powerful experience, rather like the standalone app, is available starting today for users. More than just episode-playing tools are housed within this interface, and now you’ll be able to get into libraries, browse through shows, and see the top charts without a hitch.

An Apple account is connected to your play progress, favorite shows, and subscriptions. This sync is important for a consistent experience on all devices. If one has no Apple account, one can browse and listen to shows but will get no personalized features.

Apple Podcasts

The revamped web version is now live in more than 170 countries. It supports all the major web browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. That broad compatibility makes it easier for users worldwide to get easy access to their favorite podcasts.

Earlier to this update, web listeners only had access to limited functionality where they could only stream podcasts with no advanced tools or access to library capabilities. The new features bring the web version closer to a full app experience.

Apple Podcasts

This means a more complete and more convenient experience is now extended to the web version of Apple Podcasts. This improvement aligns with Apple’s goals: increased accessibility and more convenient use for all.

Zoom New Webinar Feature Can Host One Million People

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

Zoom has just announced a massive overhaul of its webinar capabilities, allowing up to one million people to participate simultaneously. The massive increase came after the high-profile uses for political fundraising events.

Previously, Zoom could go up to as many as 100,000 attendees in its webinars. The new tiers now add options for 10K, 50K, 100K, 250K, 500K, and 1M attendees. Each package is a single-use option with professional support from Zoom’s Event Services team.

Zoom

This is an upgrade that will open doors to flexibility, according to Zoom’s Chief Product Officer, Smita Hashim. Now event organizers will be able to host interactive experiences at scale as never thought before. The new capacity looks to serve enterprise, entertainment, and public sector needs.

Their package for a million-person webinar is $100,000. For all other lower packages, this seems steep but isn’t that bad. For example, it costs $9,000 for a 10,000-attendee webinar—nearly a dollar a person.

Zoom

In the wake of various high-profile fundraising events, the expansion is about to turn into a new source of revenue. Zoom bets on this turning into a huge and lucrative business since virtual meetings don’t happen as often anymore, therefore, these large-scale events would surely invigorate this company’s market position.
