Google Cloud Includes Malaysia As The New Region

The increasing demand for cloud services in the Asia Pacific has prompted Google to expand its Google Cloud regions which now include Malaysia as well as Thailand and New Zealand. 

When they go live, these new regions will join the other 34 existing cloud regions around the world, 11 of which are in the Asia Pacific, delivering high-performance services on the cleanest cloud in the industry. 

For those who are unfamiliar, Google Cloud provides compute, storage, networking, big data, machine learning, and Internet of Things (IoT) services, as well as cloud management, security, and developer tools. In addition, software developers, cloud administrators, and other enterprises IT professionals can access Google Cloud services via the public internet or a dedicated network connection.

The key controls will enable various public sectors or enterprises in Malaysia to maintain low latency and the highest security, data residency, and compliance standards, including specific data storage requirements.

These new cloud regions demonstrate Google’s unwavering commitment to supporting digital transformation not only in Malaysia but also throughout the Asia Pacific.
