Samsung finally wrapped up its annual Galaxy unpacked event yesterday. In conjunction with that, the giant phone maker successfully unveiled a few latest addition to its line of products. Although we already know what to expect based on leaks, some updates might be worth exploring. Hereโs everything that Samsung launched for its fans.
The Samsung Unpacked 2022 event witnessed the launches of two foldable devices, two new smartwatches, and an update to its Galaxy Buds Pro line. They will officially go on live on 26 August but if you are eager to get your hands on them, you can start the pre-order starting today.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4
For users who expect a new design with this one, you are out of luck since Samsung has decided to stay true to the design of previous Galaxy Flip and Galaxy Fold phones. However, there might be some new updates in regards to its software. For instance, fast charging, sending quick replies or making phone calls without opening up the phone or starting a video through the exterior camera.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4
The latest Z Fold 4 bears minimal changes from its predecessor. However, the 6.2-inch front display of the device has gradually grown in size compared to the original. In this version, it’s wider by 3 millimetres, allowing for a more natural phone experience when folded. Moreover, Samsung made significant changes to the camera array, including a new 50-megapixel main sensor.
The Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro
Besides smartphones, Samsung also unboxed its latest collection of smartwatches namely the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. These watches use the same BioActive Sensor to track health and fitness as the previous Galaxy Watch 4 and they also included a body temperature sensor. Moreover, since Watch 4 has a shorter battery life, we can see the improvement in that regard with this new series. The Watch 5 has a 13% larger battery while the Watch 5 Pro has a 60% larger battery as compared to Watch 4.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
The new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are 15% smaller than the original pair and supports 24-bit hi-fi audio over Bluetooth which will enhance the quality of the audio. Furthermore, the noise-cancelling earbuds now have 360 Audio. However, all the impressive updates come with an even greater price.
On top of all these revelations, Samsung also announced that they will opt for more eco-friendly practices by employing recycling materials for these newly launched products. For example, its foldable phone packaging is now made entirely of recycled paper and they also use recycled fishing nets as the parts of the materials for the Z-series foldable and the Galaxy Buds 2 pro.
