When it comes to map application, the two most used app which any of us could think of is either Google Maps or Apple Maps. But, most of us prefer to use Google Maps rather than Apple Maps due to the simplicity in Google Maps. One of the best feature in Google Maps is the Street View. With this feature, you can easily look through your destination before reaching. During the WWDC 2019, Apple has unveiled the Look Around feature which is similar to Google Maps Street View.
Once, this feature was rolled out Apple focuses more in the United States. With the Look Around feature, you can get 360-degree views of a specific location. Now, Apple is finally rolling out this feature to the users in Japan. We are not sure whether the users in Japan are using the Look Around feature. But, when Apple demos the Look Around in 2019, it seems cooler than the Google Street View. Surprisingly, Japan is the first international country to get the Look Around feature.

Taking, for instance, the Look Around feature, Apple believes that with a robust feature, more users are likely to use it. That’s the reason Apple usually takes ample time to designed and test its feature thoroughly. According to Ata Distance, the Look Around feature is now available for all iOS Japanese users in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Kyoto.
How to use Look Around in Apple Maps
To be honest, Apple Maps Look Around is simple to use. All you need to do is tap on the binocular icon on the map. If Look Around is available in the specific location, then you can view the binocular icon. By tapping the binocular icon, the Look Around feature will be activated in a pop up window. You can even watch the video above to know how to use the Look Around feature. Honestly, it is super smooth compared to Google Street View. Especially, when you tap on shops around it, the transition is sick! If you have iPhone you can try to search for Tokyo and try to navigate through the Look Around.
Which cities support Look Around
Currently, Apple is slowly rolling out the Look Around feature. So you can’t really expect the Look Around available in multiple countries. In the United States, Apple only rolled out the Look Around feature in these cities below:
