Xiaomi plans on bringing more foldable phones to the market with the Xiaomi Mix Flip available worldwide. This interesting clamshell style has received attention all over the world. Currently, the gadget doesn’t operate in Malaysia but, the company’s CEO Lei Jun somewhat suggested that it is a possibility. During the announcement on X, he added that the Mix Flip will be launched internationally beginning this month.
Other foldable Xiaomi devices that have been launched include four Mix Fold models. Still, the Mix Flip is their initial foldable device utilizing a clamshell design. Its main feature is the cover screen that spans 4.01 inches and is an edge-to-edge touchscreen display.
Impressive AMOLED Cover Screen in Xiaomi Mix Flip
For its part, the Mix Flip has an AMOLED cover screen with a PPI of 460 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen has a brightness level of 3000 nits, which means that the displayed images will be vibrant. Moreover, it interacts with over 200 apps and can produce a standard-size keyboard, thus accommodating different users.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip has another large display on the front side, which is at the same level as the cover. It has a size of 6.86 inches with a resolution of 1.5K and a peak brightness of 3000nits. The LTPO technology also helps in changing the refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz.
The Mix Flip, co-engineered with Leica, has a high-quality camera system and a flip-out screen. The initial 50MP Light Fusion sensor coupled with a Summilux lens gives excellent resolution. Another addition to the provisions of photography is a 50MP, telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
With Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as its processor, the Xiaomi Mix Flip offers the same level of performance as the Xiaomi 14. It also includes LPDDRX5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. In multitasking or gaming, the Mix Flip provides uncompromised and stable power.
It is not certain when the Xiaomi Mix Flip will launch in Malaysia but the company is likely to release the phone soon. Since Xiaomi Malaysia is now directing its efforts to the Xiaomi 14T Series, the Mix Flip could be released in a few months.
