Xiaomi has finally announced its very first compact foldable smartphoneโthe Mix Flip. It comes in a clamshell design and further features a rather large external display to give ample space for the screen, such as wallpapers and supported apps that make up the user experience.
Surprisingly, the Mix Flip is very thin both in folded and unfolded forms. It appears much more sleek than even the recent Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. Not only that, but it also arrives with two large camera bumps arranged vertically to give it a slim touch.
Xiaomi has equipped the Mix Flip with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will be accompanied by UFS 4.0 storage, LPDDR5X RAM, and cooling with a 3D vapor chamber. On the cover screen, there is a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 1240p and 1,600 nits brightness for vivid display quality.
For batteries, the Mix Flip will sport a 4,780mAh capacity, the largest ever used in a category like this, similar to the Honor Magic V Flip for battery capacity, allowing a longer time of use. Besides, the cameras are co-developed with Leica, thus ensuring better image quality and performance.
Xiaomi will make the Mix Flip available on 19 July 2024. It will launch alongside the Mix Fold 4 and the Redmi K70 Ultra, word yet has not come on global availability, so international fans await further information on that.
