Being in a group chat can be fun especially when you can interact with your friends all at once. But, there might be some inappropriate messages being sent that could potentially cause misunderstanding among the members. Well, WhatsApp has provided a solution for that!

WhatsApp recently introduce a new group chat feature that allows administrators to delete messages sent by group participants. The feature has the ability to remove unwanted messages in group chat.
This latest feature is not much of a difference from the existing delete message feature that you are already familiar with. If you are an admin in a group chat and wanted to delete a message, there will be a pop-up message informing that you are deleting the participant’s message for everyone in the chat and that the participant will see that you’ve deleted their message.
Once you delete a message, a text will appear and inform you that, ‘You deleted this message as an admin.’ Other group members will also be able to see that a certain message is deleted by you. According to Amanz, some WhatsApp users in Malaysia are able to use the new feature, and currently, it is slowly being rolled out to all users worldwide.
To all group admins, you now have the power to filter out and control the messages sent by your members that you deem offensive. However, this feature will likely be used in the wrong way too. So, use it wisely!
