Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of the Vivo V40 series in Malaysia. It will be launched on August 22, 2024, and two models are scheduled to hit Malaysian shores, the Vivo V40 and the Vivo V40 Pro.
For its part, the vanilla V40 has already been announced in Europe. On the other hand, only key specifications for the V40 Pro have been teased. Both of them feature Zeiss-tuned camera setups. These are focused on high-quality portrait shots.
It has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. Moreover, it also features a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. At the same time, details for storage and RAM configurations remain under wraps.
On the camera front, the Vivo V40 features a 50MP primary camera with OIS. Further, it features a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP selfie sensor. All of these features aim to improve the overall photography experience.
The Vivo V40 Pro borrows all the optics from the vanilla variant except that it adds one more telephoto lens with 50MP resolution. This makes it an even more versatile camera setup.
Of course, both variants have large 5,500mAh batteries. Naturally, they shall support fast 80W charging for fast power-ups. Durability-wise, the V40 has an IP68 rating. The V40 Pro enjoys an IP69 rating for added protection.
Vivo is quite serious about photography and performance for the Vivo V40 series, striving to give users a premium experience at a mid-range price, with Malaysian consumers able to expect these latest offerings soon.
