Tesla continues to spread its Supercharger stations in Malaysia and has recently opened a new location in the Shah Alam area. Present at Mercu Maybank i-City this place is set to serve Tesla owners shortly. The latest Supercharger is the fifth station in Selangor in addition to other places such as Sunway Pyramid or IOI Mall Puchong.
The new charge point brings four Supercharger V4 and one Destination charger in the region. Fortunately, these are located at the parking entrance which makes it easier to access and put stuff once you park the vehicle. Still, the site is not operational at the moment, bollards remained installed to prevent access to the chargers.
Parking fees at Mercu Maybank i-City are cheap for Tesla drivers. Charges range from RM3. 00 to RM30. It costs US$ 00, depending on the day and time or package chosen. Tesla has also revised the Supercharger site policy which provides the current monthly status of the site under development.
The new site in Shah Alam, Malaysia is shown on the map of Tesla under Under Construction status. Besides, several other Supercharger sites such as R&R Skudai are categorized as In Development. However, there have been some issues regarding the expansion of its Supercharger infrastructure in Malaysia but Tesla is still progressing.
