Back in Q1 of 2023, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has made an official announcement that Tesla will be stepping into the Malaysia market officially. Sooner after the announcement, job opening in Tesla Malaysia has started to circulate around in Malaysia. Finally, now we have the official confirmation from Tesla itself that Tesla will start to sell its cars in Malaysia starting from 20th July 2023.

At the moment of writing this article, we notice that the Tesla Malaysia official page seems to be not up yet for now. But we can confirm this is happening after looking at the Tesla Malaysia official Instagram account.

The arrival of Tesla in Malaysia marks a significant milestone for the EV industry in the region. How much Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y cost in Malaysia?

The Tesla Model 3 is currently price at SGD104,754 (RM361,302.33) in Singapore. Whereas, if you look at the Tesla Model 3 price in Thailand is THB1,590,000 (RM211,704.34). With this list of pricing on hand, we can expect the Tesla Model 3 will be priced around RM200,000 to RM360,000.

Over at the other hand, the Tesla Model Y is currently priced at SGD132,620 (RM457,513.78) in Singapore and THB1,753,000 (RM233,530.95) in Thailand. Now how much will the Model Y be priced in Malaysia? We think it could be somewhere around RM240,000 to RM400,000.
