Well, not only you, surely most of you might know this Shazam before. However, the Shazam we are going to talk about is an app. Trust me, you will truly fall in love with this app because it is super useful. That’s the reason, Apple itself has acquired it in 2018.

Here’s a brief intro of Shazam. Shazam is an app which is used to identify songs which are playing in the background. Back in 2002, Shazam was launched by three university students. Shazam uses spectrogram analysis to identify the songs which are playing in the background. All you gotta do is just tap on the Shazam app and the rest is assured. The app will automatically recognize the songs which are playing on the radio. Knowing its unique feature, Apple integrates Shazam into Siri with iOS 8. Then in 2018, Apple officially acquired Shazam for $400 million.

Finally, after 2 years acquired by Apple, Shazam got its major overhaul. Now when you launch the Shazam app you will see a new interface which is more iOS-like finally. With this new UI changes, you can easily pull up the My Music tab which will show the songs you have to identify using Shazam in Apple Music. From there, you can simply tap and play the songs you have Shazam-ed.

Apple brings the biggest update to Shazam since its acquisition

Apart from that, with this new update, you can even sync your Shazam with iCloud. This means you don’t have to Shazam again on your new iOS devices. We have tried the new interface we are loving it!. If you like this app, you can download it from both iOS and Android too. Besides changes in the app, Apple has also finally made Shazam available on the web too. This is what we have been waiting for since Shazam was acquired by Apple in 2018. Now, you can go to the Shazam website from your computer to identify songs playing on your phone itself.
