Finally, the OPPO A3 has officially entered the Malaysian market, and it is ready to fight in the entry class of smartphones. Before the proper announcement, local distributors had somehow leaked the device. Standing between A3x and A3 Pro, this device makes up for a feature set that includes a bit from each.
The phone has a 6.67-inch LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1604. It further supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Owing to its peak brightness of 1,000 nits, the display is even clear outdoors.
Moreover, the OPPO A3 claims to be durable with an IP rating of 54 for dust and water resistance, adding shock resistance, and protection by Panda glass. Meanwhile, users will surely appreciate the presence of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Under the hood, the OPPO A3 will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chipset. The smartphone has up to 8GB of RAM and goes as high as 256GB for internal storage. The device sports a 5,100mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
In terms of cameras, the OPPO A3 features a dual-camera setup. That means it has a 50MP primary sensor and a secondary lens. Selfies are provided courtesy of a 5MP front camera within a punch-hole cutout on the display.
Where the OPPO A3 128GB variant is priced at RM699 and the 256GB at RM799, it is already available, now. Locals can buy it from the brand’s officially authorized stores online and physical stores. The colors will be Starlight White and Sparkle Black.
