Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has launched a new National Fraud Portal (NFP), which is part of the ongoing #JanganKenaScam campaign. It highlights the latest scams and educates Malaysians on ways to outlast scammers. The new portal is a very key tool for the government body.

The NFP is not public, rather, it helps through BNM investigations to help support the tracking of scams. It also ensures problems of sequential tracing and data gaps are solved—as a result, there is fast observation and reaction to fraud cases.
BNM has integrated the NFP with the Scam Response Centre (NSRC). The addition enhances the tracing of stolen funds within numerous other providers of financial services. It also makes it easier for the NSRC to tag stolen money. The system has trace capabilities from several accounts and extracts red flag types.
The speed of the NFP is a game-changer for BNM. It greatly enhances the time it takes to conduct investigations concerning scams. It is faster compared to the comparison two years ago.
When you have a feeling that you have been hacked, act immediately with the NSRC at 997. This way, you will not lose more, other people will not also be victims.
