Custom Playlists with YouTube Music’s New ‘Ask Music’ Feature

YouTube Music is rolling out its latest AI feature “Ask Music.” Thus, users are going to have the ability to create radio stations in a snap. All that is needed is to select from music genre prompts to tailor the experience.

This feature enables the user to interact with a full-screen chat interface. Users tap a card for song suggestions or playlist curation. The AI auto-generates a playlist from that cue.

It builds personalized radio stations based on simple input of genres or moods. Examples of simple prompts it operates on are “80s post-punk” or “Poppy shoegaze”. The AI then throws suggestions that users can save or mess around with.

Currently, “Ask Music” is only available to YouTube Music Premium subscribers. The user will be able to save the tracks from playlists in their library and give feedback based on the suggestions. It gives feedback that will enhance AI recommendations in the future.

Although in limited regions now, YouTube Music plans global expansion, The feature is live in Canada and Australia and in test mode in the US it soon will reach more countries.

This new feature currently is available only on Android devices. An iOS version has not been developed yet, but it should roll out soon.

The iPhone 14 is by no means a bad option for casual shooters. The camera features a dual-lens setup with both a wide-angle lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens, although most other adjustments must still be made onscreen. It works just fine but lacks the thoughtfulness of an actual button.

Its dedicated button streamlines mode switching and settings adjustment with a press. In addition to that, its enhanced haptic feedback increases tactility while shooting.

The PS5 Pro has finally been announced for a November 7, 2024, release. It will be made available to the fans through major retailers and online. The base price is US$700 with an additional $79.99 if an external disk drive is added. Unlike the original PS5, only a digital-only version will be made available of this new model.

It puts the PS5 Pro in a different class than the base model by offering quite serious uplifts in graphical performance and more. For one, it offers a faster rendering GPU that promises to improve ray tracing at higher resolutions. Gamers will be able to play games at 8K Ultra HD, doubling the base PS5 resolution.

This will also support AI upscaling technology to bring clarity to in-game visuals. Games that don’t support native 8K resolutions will benefit from such enhancements, as well. This is going to be huge for PlayStation users.

Storage has also been upgraded, and the PS5 Pro comes with 2TB of space. This is a highly needed feature since this is a digital-only console. Players won’t have to be concerned when it comes down to downloading games about running out of space.

This was one of those ANC demos that squashed background noises, making things nearly silent. With the help of ANC and transparency modes, users will be well looked after, though transparency wasn’t as clear as the Pro version had been.

The new design of AirPods 4 provides an improved fit. According to Apple, they are the best-fitting AirPods to date. This new shape, combined with improvements made in software, allows for better passive noise isolation. The user can enjoy an open fit without sacrificing audio quality or comfort.

ANC performance on the AirPods 4 shows the power of Apple’s H2 chip. Again, not sealing the ears at all, the performance of active noise cancellation is impressive, to say the least. This model will change the game for those fond of open-type earbuds.

But the transparency mode on these AirPods 4 feels less organic like something is missing from the Pro model. It doesn’t filter in quite as much ambient, particularly one’s voice. The feature works, but it feels a little less refined than AirPods Pro.
