The pop-up selfie camera has been very famous in smartphones now. Previously, there is a rumor circulating around that Huawei is planning to announce its first ever pop-up selfie camera smartphone. Looks like today the rumor has been true. Huawei finally follows the trend of the pop-up camera to remove the notch completely. It is naming its smartphone as Huawei P Smart Z.
First of all, the Huawei P Smart Z comes with a 16MP pop-up selfie camera. It takes about one second for the selfie camera to pop-up. If you notice in the Huawei’s website, they share the pop-up mechanism able to withstand 12kg of pressure and it is resistance over 100,000 times.
The P Smart Z comes with a larger 6.59″ Full HD+ display which doesn’t have a notch or punch-holes. As in the previous render image, it has an earpiece at the top of the phone. If you notice on the back side, Huawei didn’t follow its original smartphone design. Same as the Google Pixel smartphone, Huawei P Smart Z has a dual-tone appearance.
Since this is Huawei’s mid-range smartphone, Huawei P Smart Z comes with a dual-camera setup. The main rear camera comes with a 16MP f/1.8 and the second camera comes with a 2MP camera sensor. As usual, photos are assisted by its own AI where it is able to recognize more than 500 scenarios in 22 categories in real-time. The AI processing is being done by Huawei’s Kirin 710F processor.
The Huawei P Smart Z features a 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. P Smart Z has a 4,000mAh battery to power the smartphone. You can get this smartphone in three colors which are Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Sapphire Blue. Other than that, Huawei also retains its 3.5mm headphone jack with its rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
In conclusion, the official price of the Huawei P Smart Z in Italy is EURO 280 (RM1,299). What we understand is, Huawei might release this smartphone in Malaysia too as the new model of Nova smartphone. At this moment, Huawei did not mention when the phone will reach to the consumer markets.
