GXBank, the first digital bank in Malaysia, has done phenomenally well in under a year. With a total customer base of over 750,000, the digital bank now boasts of over 500,000 GX Debit cardholders while all customers combined share over 800,000 Savings Pockets, saving and hitting financial goals.
Since November 2023, over 13 million transactions have taken place on GXBank. Over 9 million transactions were carried out with the GX card and over 4 million via QR payments. They crossed 100,000 customers within two weeks of their launch.
The GX Debit Card, which launched in February 2024, saw 100,000 applicants within its first two weeks. The card offers 1% unlimited cashback on in-store and online spending. In June 2024, GXBank crossed the 500,000 customer milestone.
GXBank will have a whole new package of services for individual and small businesses, such as digital insurance, individual financing, and alternative data used to underwrite credit. They seek to promote micro- and SMEs with innovative financial solutions.
GX Untuk Semua is a program of the bank aimed at fostering local tech talent and industry best practices. The application is infused with AI for risk and management lending solutions, hoping to drive the ecosystem for greater tech entrepreneurship and financial access for more and more people.
