Samsung unveils two new Galaxy Note 10

The moment we waited is here. Samsung finally unveils all two new Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ today during its event in New York. Every year when Samsung introduces the Note series, it only launches one Galaxy Note smartphones in a year. However, this year Samsung launches two new Galaxy Note 10 for its consumers. Let’s jump into the specs of these gigantic devices.

Major differences between Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+

Whenever smartphone makers launch two devices in a single event, the key difference of the smartphone would obviously be the size and the battery capacity. Yea.. you got it right! The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a 6.3″ Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display, whereas the Galaxy Note 10+ has a huge 6.8″ Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display. According to Samsung, Galaxy Note 10 features the largest screen Samsung has ever designed for a smartphone. The Galaxy Note 10 series has a 94% screen-to-body ratio where the screen is almost bezeless.

Some say the larger the phone, the more it strains our eyes. Well, the all-new Galaxy Note 10+ smartphones display receives Eye Comfort Certification from a certification institute. The display drastically reduces the harmfulness effect of the blue light. This means you can even watch movies in a dark environment without straining your eyes.

The other key difference is the battery capacity. The Galaxy Note 10 comes with a 3,500mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 10+ has a large 4,300mAh battery. Both Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ support Super Fast Charging. 30 minutes of charge will able to last Galaxy Note 10 all-day. With the cutting-edge intelligence of the Galaxy Note 10, your phone will recognize and adjust your phone habit so that your phone can outlast the day.

For the first time, Samsung introduces quad-camera for the bigger Galaxy Note 10+, whereas the Galaxy Note 10 remains features a triple-camera setup. The main camera of the Galaxy Note 10 is a 16MP Ultra-Wide camera. The second is the usual 12MP Wide Angle camera whereas the third and fourth is the 12MP telephoto lens and DepthVision camera. With these cameras, Samsung promises your pictures and videos is going to be crispier than ever before. Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ comes with a 10MP Selfie camera.

As Samsung focuses on video now as both Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ able to record videos with a new feature called Live Focus. While recording a video, you can add bokeh effects to focus on the object itself. There is another new feature Samsung introduces is the Zoom-in mic. When you are recording a video and zooming into a specific area, it amplifies the sounding of the specific object or area. An improved S Pen

Back when Samsung launches the Galaxy Note 9, it introduces the S Pen which supports Bluetooth. The all-new S Pen for the Galaxy Note 10 is able to do incredible things you could ever imagine. Samsung remains a few features which are in the previous S Pen such as controlling your presentation slides and taking photos using the S Pen as the remote control device.

With the all-new S Pen, Samsung introduces Air Actions where you can control how you want to take your photos. By turning the S Pen clockwise or anticlockwise decides which camera angle you want to take the photo. This is something really interesting and we are waiting to try it soon. Other than that, you can flick left or right in the Gallery app to move between the photos. You can also control the volume of your device using your S Pen. By tilting the S Pen up and down will increase and reduce the volumes easily. You don’t have to use the volume rocker button.

The other feature of the S Pen we are sure all of you might be interested is the new note-taking feature. With the Galaxy Note 10, you can convert your instantly convert your handwriting into readable text. The Galaxy Note 10 is intelligent enough to recognize your handwriting. With that, you can export your handwriting notes into PDF or Microsoft Word document.

The next feature will be enjoyed by the Samsung creative users. Samsung introduces a new feature called AR Doodles. It is a feature where you can use your S Pen to draw doodle while you are recording a video with the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. Then the drawn doodle will be tracking your subjects. Samsung partners with Microsoft to improve DeX features

With the all-new DeX app, you can connect your Galaxy Note 10 to your Windows PC or Mac devices easily with a single USB cable. Samsung DeX allows you to transfer files instantly between your Galaxy Note 10 and your PCs. Samsung and Microsoft join hands together to increase the productivity of the Galaxy Note 10. The new Link to Windows feature allows you to sync all your recent photos, messages and even notifications from your Galaxy Note 10 to your Windows PC. At the same time, you can continue your work without looking at your phone because you can view the phone tasks in the Windows PC itself.

Larger the phone, larger the storage capacity

Under the hood, the massive performance Galaxy Note 10 is powered by Samsung’s new 7nm Exynos 9825 processor. The base model of the Galaxy Note 10 comes with 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage. Do note that the base model does not support microSD card storage. The Galaxy Note 10+ comes with 12GB of RAM with up to 512GB of internal storage including the expandable microSD storage up to 1TB.

Pricing and Availability in Malaysia

The Galaxy Note 10 comes in five different new colours which are Aura Glow, Aura Black, Aura White, Aura Pink, and Aura Red. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 10+ comes in four different new colours which are Aura Glow, Aura Black, Aura White, and Aura Blue.

You can start to preorder the Galaxy Note 10 starting August 8 until August 18 next week. The Galaxy Note 10 will officially for sale starting August 22 onwards. For the price wise, the base model will be priced at RM3,699 whereas the Galaxy Note 10+ will be priced at RM4,199 for the 256GB variant. The highest variant is priced at RM4,799.
