How many of you want to own an iPhone but due to the high pricing you decide to use Android smartphones? If you are one of them, then we have good news for you all. Apple will be launching its first-ever low-cost iPhone on March 2020.
According to the report from Bloomberg, Apple is prepping to launch its new low-cost iPhone this year. Well, this is not the first time Apple launches its so-called “affordable” iPhones SE. However, this year, it seems convincing that Apple is indeed working on a “low-cost” iPhone. Could this be the next-generation iPhone SE?
First of all, the low-cost iPhone will almost look-alike the previous iPhone 8 which was launched back in 2017. According to iGeeksBlog, the so-called “low-cost” iPhone could be named as either iPhone 9 or iPhone SE2. Nevertheless, the design still remains the same as the iPhone 8. Despite having a similar design, the iPhone SE2 will feature a 4.7″ display. The rear will come with the frosted glass back which you can see in the current iPhone 11.
The best part of all is the return of the home button to the iPhone. Twitter leakster @OnLeaks, confirms that the iPhone SE2 will be having an actual home button. This means you can expect the Touch ID to be built-in into the home button. Due to the “low-cost” iPhone, there wouldn’t be a Face ID on the iPhone SE2.
Bloomberg also has reported that the assembly of the iPhone SE2 will be split between three supplier Hon Hai Precision Industry,ย Pegatron Corp.ย andย Wistron Corp. Previously, most of Apple’s iPhones will be assembled by Foxconn. Since Foxconn charges Apple at a higher rate now, Apple has decided to leave Foxconn and assemble its devices in other countries.
