At Computex this year, Zotac Gaming Zone made its first appearance as the new guy in town regarding the handheld gaming PC market. Now, as the Gamescom kicks off in Germany, Zotac has finally formally launched the device. The company has also started accepting pre-orders for the Zotac Gaming in several markets.

The pre-order price is pegged at $799, which is roughly RM3,495. Do note that, strangely, it’s not available for pre-order in the US. This is somewhat ironic, as Tom’s Hardware received confirmation from the US representative for Zotac.
At Computex, Zotac announced that the Gaming Zone would make its way to users in September for about $800. Well, now we hear it will probably hit shelves next month. And it seems that nothing from those previously shared specifications has changed.

On the local scene, the availability of the Zotac Gaming Zone is yet to be determined. As Amanz has reported, confirmation came that SunCycle, the local distributor, will make this device available in the local market. At the time of going to press, the sale date and local price were yet to be determined.
