As for now, we did not receive any official confirmation on the image sensor. But looking at the trend, we are sure Samsung is the one will be supplying the 108MP image sensor. Xiaomi says its new 108MP ultra-clear camera is able to capture photos with a 12,032 x 9,024 pixels resolution. This is the highest resolution in a smartphone.
Ice Universe who is the most prominent leakster has shared a tweet on his Twitter account saying that Xiaomi will be the first to adopt Samsung’s 108MP ISOCELL CMOS. In another tweet, he says it is going to be Mi Mix 4 to feature the world’s first 108MP camera sensor.
Back in October last year, Xiaomi launches Mi Mix 3 which features a sliding mechanism camera setup and a Snapdragon 845 processor. We are expecting this could be the next replacement to the Mi Mix series smartphone.
In conclusion, we haven’t received official confirmation from Xiaomi yet. If this is going to be Mi Mix 4 then you can expect official media invitation from the Chinese company somewhere around mid of September. In the meantime, let’s wait to witness the world’s first 64MP quad-camera smartphone from Realme.
