LG has entered a strategic seed investment with Mo-Sys Engineering to improve its virtual production solutions. The partnership will focus on creating integrated hardware and software packages for virtual productions and XR studios. The agreement will allow LG to prove Mo-Sys camera robotics technologies with its display technology.
What was once considered only for the film industry even more typically like broadcasters and corporations now use virtual productions studios. The studios use LED screens, camera tracking systems, and media servers to produce adaptable visual content and seamless interactive experiences. LG — both its Micro LED and LED displays are already around the VR and XR stages.
This integration means LG can provide comprehensive virtual productions solutions. LG LED displays and Mo-Sys XR products can be fully integrated by customers as part of a complete production setup. By teaming up, operators can also be given new options in the production of virtual content doing this collaboration.
