Affordable Home Internet: YTL Broadband’s Pakej Perpaduan

Reading Time: 2 minutes read

YTL Broadband, one of the participating telcos in the Pakej Perpaduan for Fixed Broadband, has launched an affordable home internet plan for targeted lower-income groups. The Pakej Perpaduan broadband plan offers unlimited 30Mbps for both upload and download at RM69/month, making it an attractive option for those who need a stable and fast internet connection at an affordable price.

The Pakej Perpaduan plan is tied to a 24-month contract and comes with a WiFi 6 Mesh Router. For those who need to make calls, YTL Broadband charges 9 sen per minute to all domestic fixed and mobile numbers. This plan is typically offered for RM89/month, which is similar to TM Unifi.

The Pakej Perpaduan fibre plan is open to individuals under the B40 group, senior citizens (aged 60 years old and above), people with disabilities (OKU), and veterans (Police and Army). To register for this plan, eligible users can present their valid Mykad, OKU card, or Police/Tentera retiree ID for verification.

Customers can only register for one Pakej Perpaduan plan. If you need to move homes during the contract period, there’s a relocation charge of RM212. And if you wish to terminate the broadband plan during the contract period, you are required to pay the full monthly recurring charges for the balance contract period. This means if you have 12 months remaining in the contract, you’ll have to pay (12 x RM69) RM828 for early termination.

However, it’s important to note that YTL Broadband’s fibre coverage is limited compared to bigger players like Time and TM. Currently, they only cover selected properties in Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Pulau Pinang, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur. You can check the full list on their website.

If you’re looking for an affordable home internet plan with unlimited data and fast internet speed, the Pakej Perpaduan plan by YTL Broadband is definitely worth considering. With its affordable price and eligibility criteria for lower-income groups, senior citizens, people with disabilities, and veterans, it’s a great way to stay connected while saving money.
