TNG RFID self-fitment kit is now available in Lazada

It has been almost two months since the Malaysia government initiates nationwide lockdown. Although, now the government has loosen the restriction to go out from your house, it is still advisable to go out only if necessary. We know many of you have not installed the RFID tag yet on your vehicle. Especially during the Movement Control Order, the TNG fitment centres are closed nationwide.

Well now, you don’t have to go to the TNG fitment centre. You can easily purchase the TNG RFID self-fitment from both Lazada and Shopee. Back in February, Touch ‘n Go announces that it is planning to sell the TNG RFID self-fitment kit. With the TNG RFID self-fitment kit, you can fit the TNG RFID tag yourself by following the guideline provided.

How to install TNG RFID tag?

The TNG RFID self-fitment kit is being sold for RM35 each in Lazada and Shopee. As shown in the image below, you should either stick it on your vehicles left windscreen or left headlamp. The main reason for sticking it on the left side is because it will be easier for the RFID sensor to detect the RFID tag on your vehicle. Do note that if you install the TNG RFID tag on the tint, then the RFID sensor wouldn’t be able to detect the RFID tag. You are not allowed to install it also near to the metal content too.

Furthermore, TNG also says that it’s planning to expand the usage of the RFID tag for other services as well. For example, you can use your RFID to pour petrol in the future. The first oil company in Malaysia who announces to collaborate with Touch ‘n Go is Shell. With the RFID tag, you refuel petrol for your pay it using your TNG e-Wallet app. You don’t have to use your phone or go to the payment counter. We can expect this service to roll out in Malaysia in Q4 of 2020.
