Former CEO of YouTube Susan Wojcicki is dead at 56. The news was announced on Facebook by her husband, Dennis Troper. Wojcicki had a battle against non-small-cell lung cancer for two years. He mentioned that she was brilliant in thought and very tender as a mother, all contributions she had regarding both family and the world are just transcendental.

Wojcicki began her journey when Google was still young. She worked with it in the garage its founders used to operate from. She played the greatest role possible in developing Google Image Search and AdSense. Her leadership in Google’s video effort led to the acquisition of YouTube in 2006.
In 2014, she took on as the CEO of YouTube. All the numbers rose and grew while she was in charge. During the fiscal year of 2022, YouTube advertisements made revenue of $29.24 billion. This was more than 10 percent of the total revenue that Google announced.
Off work, Susan Wojcicki had other platforms that touched on gender disparities in tech and refugee issues. She advocated for longer parental leave to the extent that it didn’t seem a loss to business. The move further justified her actions and commitment to both social and professional movements.
Alphabet’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, praised the work that Wojcicki had been doing. On his part, she was the hero who had orchestrated all of Google’s history. He described her as one whose impact on the world is immense. Her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
