Today, Facebook has roll out a new feature for Instagram where you can use your Facebook Messenger to send Instagram Direct Messages (DM).
Honestly, this is one of the most awaited feature users have waited to try for so long. The moment Facebook acquires Instagram we already know that one day Facebook will be integrating Messenger into both Instagram and WhatsApp Messenger. We can finally say today Facebook has brought this feature to Instagram. Especially when most of the business person are using both Instagram and Messenger simultaneously, now they can seamlessly communicate between Instagram DM and Facebook Messenger.
Apart from that, Facebook has also rolled out other features to Instagram which the current Messenger already have. For example, the Messenger platform already have chat colours and also message controls. Now, with this new update from Facebook Instagram will be getting all these features too. Additionally, Facebook is also bringing vanish mode, selfie stickers and custom emojis too.

According to research done by Facebook, it says that four out of five people are always using messaging apps in the US. Thus, Facebook also knows that many people like to use Facebook or Instagram video call feature to communicate with their friends. With this new Instagram feature, Facebook is also bringing Messenger Watch Together feature to the Instagram platform. With this feature, users can watch IGTV videos with their friends during a video call.

Overall, Facebook says that this feature will be rolling out globally in the coming months. But, for now, this new feature is only available in a few countries. However, for now, Facebook is allowing its users to opt-in to use this feature on Instagram. If you wish to opt-out of these features you can just ignore the upcoming Instagram update.
