Xiaomi has released two new budget smartphones called Redmi A2 and A2 Plus. There is no information about the price or availability date yet. The A1 which was the previous model was priced at RM359, so the new phones will likely be similarly affordable.

Both phones are the same, except for one thing. The A2 Plus has a fingerprint scanner on the back. They both come in blue, green, and black colors.

Both phones have a big screen that measures 6.52 inches diagonally. The display takes up the whole front of the phone, without any borders or notches. Both phones have a processor called MediaTek Helio G36, which can run up to 2.2GHz. It comes in two variants, one with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It uses LPDDR4X and eMMC 5.1 technologies. You can also add more storage space of up to 1TB if needed.

The battery capacity for both phones is 5000mAh, which measure that measures the amount of electric charge that can be stored. The charger provides 10W of power. The charging process is fast because it charges the battery relatively quickly. The charger included in the box is rated at 10W. The charging port uses a Micro USB connector.

Redmi has not announced how much their A2 and A2 Plus phones will cost or when they will be available. However, the phones have been listed in SIRIM’s database, which suggests they will be available soon in Malaysia.
