OPPO has launched a new budget offering with the OPPO A3x in India and plans to launch it in Malaysia. The device, with different specifications as compared to the Indian variant, sports another different chipset than its sibling. This particular model won’t use a MediaTek processor but will instead go with a Qualcomm one.

In Malaysia, the A3x will come with different configurations at different prices, 4GB+64GB at RM399, 4GB+128GB at RM499, and 6GB+128GB at RM599. This has been confirmed by the OPPO store in Ocean Mall.

The OPPO A3x is fitted with a 6.67-inch 720p LCD with a refresh rate of 90Hz and supports peak brightness up to 1,000 nits. By way of comparison, the model sold in India is fitted with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip for robust performance.

The OPPO A3x gets IP54 and MIL-STD 810H ratings for durability, making it dust-, water-, and shock-resistant. It also features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It boasts a large 5,100mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
Connectivity options on this device include 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, and WiFi 5. It also packs a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. Altogether, the OPPO A3x offers quite an aggressive package for its price category.
