What’s new in this WhatsApp Android update are a few sticker features. The most interesting one is that now it includes the sticker library of GIPHY, enabling users to textually or emoji search for stickers from its large collection inside the app. This enhances any sticker picker experience.
Furthermore, WhatsApp released a custom sticker maker for Android. In an already available feature from iOS, users are now able to design custom stickers. You can create a sticker from an image or edit an image with crop, text, or drawings. All custom stickers will then be stored in a sticker tray.
Besides, now it has AI-generated stickers, the making of which is helped out by Meta’s AI. This function is accessible to users in the US, both on Android and iOS. The company is also testing this feature in Spanish and Bahasa Indonesia. This innovation adds another layer of personalization.
The update also enhances sticker organization within the app. Now, one will be able to send stickers to the top or even delete them with much ease. This shall make the user, by long press, arrange their stickers faster, making it much easier to manage stickers.
WhatsApp is adding yet another sticker features, Sticker Packs. This makes it easier to navigate the different sticker packs. However, this update will only be rolled out gradually for all.
