Xiaomi has launched its latest earbuds, the Redmi Buds 6 Active. The new earbuds come as a walkover upgrade over the previous Buds 4 Active, and the company has simply skipped Buds 5 Active. They get improved battery life and a more affordable price tag.

The Buds 6 Active comes with dynamic 14.2mm drivers. As much as they lack active noise cancellation, they duly feature wind noise cancellation for calls. You get five inbuilt EQ settings and miss full EQ customization, though. On the upside, you can summon your voice assistant with a touch-and-hold on the buds.

The earbuds are connected via Bluetooth 5.4 and are Google Fast Pair compatible. Some other features included in the new goodies are spatial audio, supported but exclusively on Xiaomi 13/13T/14 series smartphones, that enhances the listening experience with compatible devices.

The batteries seem to work pretty well. I mean, the buds could last six hours just on a single charge. With the charging case, they will give up to 30 hours of total use, basically bringing out the extended life for long listening sessions.
Earbuds cost RM99 and come in four colors—with two having transparent covers. They are offered at a special price of RM69 until September 15, 2024.
