New leaked images of the upcoming Motorola Razr show a big outer display and interface. The display extends from the phone’s hinge and wraps around the device’s cameras. The images show different clock displays and suggest that users can customize the interface’s font, layout, color, theme, and wallpaper. The leak also reveals a possible new deep red hinge color option.
The leaked device is called the “Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.” Rumors suggest that the next-gen Razr will come in two variations: the Ultra and the Lite. The Ultra version will have a 3.5-inch cover display, which is larger than its folding rivals. The Lite version is rumored to have a smaller outer display that only surrounds the cameras. A larger outer display could provide more utility to a folding device, like reading detailed notifications or typing up a quick text without unfolding the device.
The Razr phone has a big external display, but Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to have a larger one. Samsung will reveal its phone this summer. Motorola may reveal their new Razr phone on June 1st, one month before Samsung’s expected release.
