Continued Access for Current Maybank2u Users

Users with the Maybank2u app can still use it, but it won’t get updates after 30 June 2024. Maybank assures that their online banking services won’t be affected and customers can keep doing their banking on the MAE app or on the Maybank2u website.

Security Advisory for App Downloads

Maybank warns customers against getting. APK files from unofficial sources because of security risks like malware and scams. For safe banking, users should get the MAE app from official app stores.

Maybank is not the only local bank moving to a new app. CIMB stopped supporting its CIMBClicks app and is encouraging users to download the newer CIMB OCTO app. By combining their online banking platforms, banks want to offer customers a more complete and safe banking experience.
