Lenovo Tab Plus Launched with JBL Speaker in July

It’s just been reported that Lenovo has recently released what’s new to the company in tablets, the Lenovo Tab Plus, which it plans to launch in Malaysian markets this coming July 2024. Relating to the immersive audio experience on this particular gadget, this tablet is specially equipped with an outstanding 8-speaker sound system boosted by Dolby Atmos technology from JBL.

The designs of the Lenovo Tab Plus are quite unique, such as the speaker-equipped hump and versatile kickstand, in a bid to appeal to entertainment lovers. With eight speakers by JBL, rich bass and clear treble are delivered to give users a never-before audio experience in a tablet. It supports high-resolution audio with up to 24-bit/96kHz quality so that sound from both the speakers and the headphones via its 3.5mm audio jack is of the best quality. Moreover, it also serves as a Bluetooth speaker, allowing a person to play music from their phones wirelessly.

The Lenovo Tab Plus features an 11.5-inch 90Hz LCD display with a resolution of 2K (2000×1200 pixels) and a brightness of 400 nits to bring more vivid visuals for enhanced viewing. Performance is delivered with the MediaTek G99 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM to offer decent performance for day-to-day tasks such as multitasking and multimedia consumption. It is available in either 128GB or 256GB storage variant and supports microSD card expansion.

The tablet is packed with an ultra-large 8,600mAh battery that can be charged up to 12 hours for streaming. Of course, it indeed hosts fast-charging from a 45W charger across USB-C. Connectivity options open with 802.11ac WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 for enabling lag-free wireless connectivity for most usages.

Out-of-the-box, it will run Android 14, and the company has promised more software support for longer: 2 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches going into June 2028. In addition, the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus will be available with a Lenovo Tab Plus Sleeve and a Lenovo Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard to further device functionality and user experience out of the box.

The Lenovo Tab Plus will be priced at about RM 1,599 in Malaysia and will be available from 21st July 2024, hence making this product competitive in its category. With powerful audio, high-resolution features, and a full package of accessories, it aims to reset the benchmark in the market with regards to audio-driven entertainment devices.
