The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE 8.7 is coming to Malaysia, but several retailers leaked the specs and price a bit ahead of the official announcement. This tablet will hit the market in two different models, the Wi-Fi only and the cellular variant.
The Wi-Fi-only model is offered at RM599, while the 4G cellular variant will cost RM699. That said, both carry the same specifications and will appear in three color options. At this pricing, the Pad SE 8.7 is a pretty competitive device within the market.
The Pad SE8.7 comes with an 8.7-inch LCD. Added to this would be a refresh rate of 90Hz and peak brightness of 600 nits. A scratch-resistant glass has been laminated over the screen, ensuring added durability and better usage.
Under the hood, it runs a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. This also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. For imaging, on the back, there is an 8MP camera, while in the front, there will be a 5MP shooter.
The battery is 6,650mAh with 10W charging available. It has the latest software features with MIUI 14, based on Android 14. With such specifications, the Pad SE 8.7 has become a very promising product in its category.
